So I shave a lot atleast 6 times a week. I got tired of my face always burning and never really feeling smooth after shaving. So after 2 months of heavily researching wet shaving I have changed my style of shaving. Im still using the Mach 3 but I switched to a cheap $5 boar hair brush and some shave soap. This along with nivea cooling aftershave balm has already help me make huge strides in the right direction. I recently (today) ordered a new brush and shaving cream from crabtree evelyn I found a coupon online STRCLS89 and got 40% off. Still using that blasphemous mach 3 though....its the vibrating one too. Im in the market for a good safety razor and am saving up for a Dovo micarta as well. As a poor sailor I just cant afford the initial start up costs of a straight razor ie: hones, strops, pastes, and the razor itself. So if anyone has any leads on a good place to get a cheap but nice safety razor don't hesitate to reply. Im watching the classified area. very respectfully T.J.

How do you like San Diego? I spent a very short amount of time there while returning from afghanistan. Gas lamp district was alot of fun and the whole city is beautiful.
I love it! I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather live. I have had the good fortune to see many places and I have lived in two other cities but this is home and has been for 34 years. By the way, glad you're home and safe.
I have lived in 20+ cities and you sir do have a good one. Top 3 for sure. However Texas will always be home for me...excluding Houston, cause Houston hates me for some reason.
Thanks for the kind words, T.J. It's a good thing we like different places because the thought of the whole country living in just one place is mighty uncomfortable.
Welcome to TSD TJ!Hope that you can find a nice DE soon. You also can check in antiques stores if you have the chance.Enjoy your shaves and the forum
