See now this I find very fascinating. That you took this slant. Because my basic question was just the most they had paid and what they thought. Now someone very easily could have said $5.00 for a bottle of Jovan Musk and that may have been the most they have most they had paid and had complete satisfaction. There was no explicit correlation, it is just what people have found personally. And I most whole heartedly agree there are many deals out there if you want to look for them..
I find it hard to bring myself to pay full price for cologne. Going to the store to find one I like then buying it online for $25 cheaper is my method... just can't have problems getting a bottle with no cap. But currently Euphoria by Calvin Klein is my flavor, paid about $40 for it if I do recall.
$158 AUD for Floris No89 $125 AUD for Parfum de Nicolai fragrances ( I have a few) $120 AUD for GFT Astor I know that it's a lot of money , but to me it's worth it to have a fragrance that is not widely available. In my opinion, the fragrances I've paid that much for, are heavenly. Pete
For me? My most expensive full bottle (that I ended up keeping, anyway) is $100 for the discontinued gem Egoiste Cologne Concentree, Chanel (minus a few ml for omegapd!) For Leo, I once paid $199 for a 100mL bottle of By Man by Dolce & Gabbana that now sits waiting for him, safely wrapped in plastic in a refrigerator in my garage. My current scent of the season? No.032 Bay Rum by C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries, $19.50 from a very nice seller on eBay. Expensive does not necessarily mean better smelling. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If you find something you and your woman both like and it cost you $5 at the drugstore, I seriously recommend you stop looking.
When I was 19, I had won a good bit of money from a scratch off lotery ticket. I went to Macys and bought a bottle of Hanne Mori (sp) I believe it was around 60 at the time. I didnt really like it, but just bought it because it was expensive. I wore it twice and sold it on BST 2 months ago. I have a ton of colognes I need to unload on the BST. I have a major problem with migraines and have made a promise to myself not to wear colognes.
$120 for a 3.4 oz. bottle of Le Vainqueuer by Rance. If it was good enough for Napoleon Bonaparte, it is good enough for me; and as I've stated in another thread, it goes well with the Trumper's limes shaving cream.
Around $200 forAmouage Dia, but that was an exception. I usually pay $100 to $120 for MPG, Diptyque, SMN, Etro and Villoresi...
Ive popped 75-100 US for some smell good stuff. I love my Chanel Allure. I also like the CO bigelow black for a daily wear. I always buy with the wifes approval. The last stuff I bought by myself didnt go to well, She hated it and I ended up giving it away.
Overall price? $120 for pen's elixir. By volume? $50 for a mere tablespoon of Creed Windsor. If I had the $650 for a full flacon, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I can't even wear the stuff. It makes me feel guilty. It's going to be vaulted once it's sold out. It's history.
