I'm still freaked out over the Top Ten Menthol cream--the scent is gorgeous, the lather is so rich, and although the menthol is not strong, it can still be felt. The Vifrex gel intensifies the cooling effect beautifully!

Slept late this morning but will not go to work until I've had a proper shave. Besides, a great shave might just be (and often is) the best thing that happens all day. If you've not yet tried this combination of soap and after shave(s) I strongly recommend it. This is the ultimate frozen face combo.

 

TGIF: Parker 91r razor / 7 OCY blade / Arko SS / Rooney 3 Special brush / Pinaud Clubman Aftershave

The Rooney brush is super dense but so so soft.

 

Try it with creams.....maybe it performs better with them

Now this shave set up right here, this is a stellar combination and one that I hope to use many, many more times. The BIC has proven itself to be a reliable blade. I may not be able to get a good number of decent shaves out of it, but it still performs admirably. If I was to shave with one razor for the rest of my life, I would choose the 40's style Super Speed. No other razor can touch it, IMHO. The German Nivea, as usual, delivered a superb lather and the combination of the Pinaud splash and the Nivea balm made for a smooth and classy finish. What a way to close out the week!

Fist time with the VDH glycerin soap and I'm very impressed. Worked up a great lather with the 1305 and basically face lathered after that. Two and a half passes and a BBS shave...I followed the Three Crowns with the Florida water to reduce the tackiness and topped it off with the Acqua di Selva...ahhh...
