I've noticed too much menthol and splash don't mix on me. A strongly mentholated lather in conjunction with a strongly mentholated splash stings like a bee.
Really, Habibi? Then you must not to use something like Palmolive Menthol cream from Italy or Egypt, and then Alcolado Glacial as aftershave, because you will feel too much burned.

Tech Tuesday Hot Shower NDC Gillette Tech (Bakelite handle) VDH Glycerin Dickinson's WH Corn Huskers Lotion Clubman AS Great Shave this Morning! I rarely do 4 passes but I did this morning. Very comfortable, I don't know what it is about this razor but the more I use it the more I like it. Nothing special by a long shot, decidedly mediocre in just about every way but it's just a blast to shave with and it does well given enough passes and a good layer of soap. Click Feather Water ... No lather. Just razor. I used to do this when I was a catridge user, but got upset because I felt I was dulling away my expensive blades. Now it's no issue - good shave!

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep: old scrubby Rooney badger Sticky/Feather vintage Yardley SS TSD cedar/lemon AS milk TGQ 'Cavendish Black' extrait Thanks to my buddy Brian's loan, I get to try out a Sticky(finally). This is one of the few razors on my wish list to shave with, and we'll see how things go. I'm gonna use various blades to figure out what works best in this razor, and so far so good. This AS milk is pretty nice, especially since there's no alcohol burn to it. I may well order some of this for the colder weather. BBS results, Martin
Tuesday: NN3P razor / Astra SP blade / Kell's SS, Juniper&Sage / Rooney Special 3 brush / M&L Florida Water Cologne The NoName3Piece razor gives me a 2 pass BBS everytime, regardless of the blade used. Trouble is that it's also a tiny bit harsh no matter what blade is used The things we do to look good and get a great shave! It's amazing sometimes.

I agree, it can't be done. So I decided to get my Valet out and give it a whirl today. Not a bad shave, not BBS but DFS at least. Did not blade buff cause last time I did that with the Valet I was nothing but blood. This time, did not get a nick or weeper. The wife made a comment on the TSD Old Spice Type EDT, she really liked it. The Pella blade in the Valet is on shave 5 and I think it is time to modify another and use it next time I pull the Valet out of the drawer.
