Hi, i posted a couple of months ago to get info on my British gillette Aristocrat #66 coronation set, i got great info but i was asked how much it weighs to determine if its the aluminum one. It weighs 37 grams. With this new info does anyone know how much i can sell it for, its never been used case is mint but no original box(the cardboard box), i need money for school so any help would be appreciated
It is really hard to guess the value because not a lot have sold, and even less by sellers who were aware they had something special. If the case actually has the crown on it, the price will go way up. I can't put a good guess on value, but I would say it would be in the hundreds. I think the only way to find out would be to put good pictures and information on ebay.
37g sounds like aluminum, right? I'm not sure but I recall reading SOMEWHERE that the AL UK Aristocrat set were more rare. Did I get that backwards? I can't seem to find it. It sounds like a beaut! If there's any way you can hang on to it, I hope you do. Once you get out of school and hit the big time, you may regret letting it go.
