I use a stick: I Coloniali Deodorant stick with Oubaku extract. Special scent as all I Coloniali products.
Rotate between Arm and Hammer essentials, Tom's of Maine for sensitive skin (lime and basil), desert essence and SCS deodorants. Recently found the Crystal spray and rock and both are working great so I wont be buying any more deodorants to try out and will go to those once the others are cleared out.
+1 on the Crystal Deodorant -- I put it on after I shower and it keeps me un-smelly for at least 24 hours. I always used to use an antiperspirant, but I was also sick of them staining my shirts... plus if my pits wanted to sweat, the antiperspirant wouldn't help at all anyway. And actually I think there have been fewer instances of pitting out since switching... probably easier to regulate body heat.
I changed this week to Arm and Hammer Original Sport (I think that's the name). It smells like Erasmic shave cream to me (a favorite scent!!!) and works super. They also have a Cool Sport or something like that, but the scent is different. Still good, though.
(Potassium/Shaving) Alum for me too - tried the Crystal (Ammonium) Alum but found that under stress (large-framed, unfit bloke, on a pushbike in summer) I got a couple of transient whiffs of ammonia and the startings of ammonia rash (aka nappy rash, diaper rash) under the pits - no such irritation with shaving alum (which happens to be less than ΒΌ the price too!)
Crystal Stick Gillette Clinical Strength Old Spice High Endurance regular and Clinical Strength. I've found the $9/ bottle clinical strength stuff works great, however doesn't seem to last very long. But, Big Lots sells it for about $3.50/ each.

KMF After dropping two crystal sticks on the bathroom floor, I decided it was back to something more conventional. My nearby supermarket (of all places) has KMF Active Enzyme-Unscented. It's the best deoderant I have ever used.
I have been using the Nivea Fresh Active deo spray in the glass bottle. It is at smallflower.com. It is ok, but I do reuse the nice spray bottles when they are empty......
I was skeptical when i heard you could apply this stuff once every 3-4 days but it's true i swear by it now. Certin-dri I think is how its spelled. It's a brand easily found in the super market. You put it on before bed, then wake up and you are dry for 3-4 days. I've converted a couple friends none of us have any irritation from it. It just does what it's supposed to do, and claims to do. Fancy that! a product that actually does what it's supposed to do and well. Only draw back in my opinion, kinda smells like baby powder. Try it it's nominally priced, so not much to lose.
Real Men Wear... I either go with Brut or Old Spice, Though I can say I have been known to wear Secret from time to time (hell its cheap and effective haha)
I have various deodorants; Speed Stick Unscented, Old Spice Deodorant Stick, Brut Spray Deodorant and Old Spice Swagger.
I've probably used Mennen Speed Stick Unscented exclusively for 30+ years. Maybe it's time I tried something else -- probably would be Crystal or Alum. It's either leave well enough alone, or maybe if I try something else I'd find Mennen was the cause of all my problems!
