A/S: Ogallala Bay Rum

A super shave this morning. I have developed a strong affinity for tallow-based soaps, but I’m gaining great respect for Pre de Provence. The PdP is definitely a keeper for me, although I’m not about to dump my tallow soaps.

The Ogallala Bay Rum provided a fine finish.

Neck irritation is my worst enemy. I will figure it out eventually. Started off using a BIC blade this morning but it was garbage. I got good shaves from the first two BIC blades out of the pack. Horrible shaves from the other 3. Very disappointing. The lather that I got from the Noxzema this morning was pretty disappointing. Very airy and bubbly. I thought I used enough water but perhaps not. Results today were very blah. I've got to grow out my beard again this week for another Halloween party this coming weekend. I can't wait to be able to shave more often like normal again.

Just don't get ingrowns to begin with. I only do a N-S pass on my neck - which is somewhere between WTG and XTG. I look like I have a skin disease if I go any closer.

And for me, it doesn't matter: that amount of stubble reduction cosmetically looks the same as full-blown ATG BBS.

 

I'm not much for taking pictures and my camera isn't all that great, but I got one hell of a shave tonight, and I really enjoyed it...

Oh my God--my face is fffffffffffffffffffrozen to the max. It's so brrrrrrrrr cold and beautiful, that I think it can even out-freeze Permafrost. This Gillette Super Speed is a very good razor--it gave me a BBS shave in just 2 passes.

No matter how non aggressive the Tech may be, it will still bite if one is not careful...a nick right under my nose this morning because I was complacent...otherwise a great shave with the Speick cream and the Tech/Feather combo.

The Laser blade really likes the Gillette New razor, wonderfully smooth shave this morning.
