Here are a few of my staights. I have an addiction to this stuff but its well worth it when you get that smooth shave with a simple tool from years ago. I will go Straight or DE any day over the junk they have today with 4 or 5 blades and get a smoother shave with no razor burn.

Very nice. And I'm guessing that the collection will continue to grow.

    Great collection..

What kind of razor is the one on the bottom row fifth from the right with a yellow/ivory/plastic handle? I believe I have 2 of those that i wanted to post pictures of here to get more info on. Without the razor in fron of me I know they say solingen made in Germany, and I think they are SS not Carbon Steel; is this correct?

Any info on those would be great(like are they good, are they cheap, etc...)

    Thanks

The one you are asking about I got in a local auction lot of 6. Three were Wade & Butcher's two were Boker's and the one you are refering to just has 51 THE VICTOR all capital letters and scratched on the scales it has someones initials and date (T. H 2/19/18) I do know it is carbon steel and after honeing it I felt like it held its own with the Boker's and the Wade & Butcher's. I dont know the exact worth of th 51 THE VICTOR but I am pleased with its performance. If anyone here has any info on 51 THE VICTOR please tell it's origins that would be interesting to know. Besides I only had to give $25.00 for the six straight razor's lucked out on that auction lot huh :D

What great collection. As a newbie, all I own is one shave ready(which I am going to try for the first time in the morning).

But hey! All collections start with one, the first one, right?

hey i have an interesting question...
i was looking at some TI's now and i saw on an online store a historic model that it was more than 70 years old,now is that true? are those models more than 70 years old ? were they refurbished by TI and then named historical or is that an old design but they make them new i don't understand as i am tempted to buy one in the future i don't know if i would get a better shave from a dovo prima klang .

i am reffering to the TI 6/8 Festonné or others marketed as 'historic'

    thanks.

    impressive collection, mate!

@iulian: they are newly ground razors made from old blanks - in other words: yes, they are "historic razors" if you want to call them that way.
