They AV has you confused. Those aren't our women. Those are the ones from "Night of the Living Dead." Come to eat your AV soaked brains. :rofl
So even brainless automatons have better taste than the AVCL membership? I agree. Glad to see you can admit that. It's ok... we'll be here when you decide to get some smarts.
Except that you'll be the living dead and your rotting, shuffling corpses won't smell any different then when you were alive wearing AV.
I was explaining to my wife about the two factions that have risen from obscurity on this forum which has been very entertaining. The look of utter disgust that ANYONE could even handle the smell, let alone use such a stank as the AV. She was in complete shock, Why? Why would anyone in their right minds use such a gross and disgusting product? I assured her that I did not like the AV and could not understand how anyone could. I stand completely against the AV. I love her so much!!!!
She never had a sniff of me and Aqua Velva, just because you stink when you slap it on. This coming from a woman who loves a man with Right Guard Breath. :rofl
I really like Aqua Velva. My late grandfather was an electric shaver and used Aqua Velva every morning for years. This scent is most definately a childhood memory for me - long before I started shaving. When I smell it, I immediately remember my Grandfather and the rather large bottle (6 or 7 oz) that he kept on his bathroom countertop. It would be nice to get a hold of a really old bottle (1950's?) of this stuff just for nostalgia sake. Hail to the Velva!
Hi, thought I'd share my recent little eBay score. Kinda cool, I found a mini pair of Aqua Velva bottles (circa 1960, supposedly). It's interesting - when I opened a bottle and took a whiff it was definately the familiar Aqua Velva scent. After splashing a little into my hands and onto my neck the scent took on a slightly different character. After being on my hands for a few minutes I noticed more of a dull, somewhat faded alcohol note more than anything. It didn't really have that menthol "punch" that you'd get upon first whiff from a new bottle off the shelf. At this point it's kinda morphed into more of a Skin Bracer scent .... interesting. Stating the obvious here, I can only guess that it's because of the age of these bottles that I'm not getting the familiar AV scent. Might be better off sticking with newer bottles if you really like Aqua Velva ... seems that the really old bottles don't age very well. Trader Joe - I know you've had some experience with the older bottles of AV - have you experienced the same thing? - Dave
Yes, I'm afraid they didn't hold up very well scentwise, but I knew that going into it. I have them more for posterity than anything else BTW - Nice Haul :happy088 You can always decant some newer Velva into the older bottles
Even Pete Rose was a lover of the Velva ......... and the ladies http://youtube.com/watch?v=28-Y4tc6nCo
