Hello I'm from the Southern England and have been lurking around your fine forum for a bit so I thought it about time I registered. I started DE shaving about 8 weeks ago and have already amassed enough kit to have Mrs Jeltz complain about the amount of "stuff" in the bathroom cabinet :ashamed001 My kit includes Feather Popular razor Edwin Jagger DE 89 Crabtree and Evelyn 'Nomad' Soap "Mr Taylors" Shaving cream Palmolive stick and cream Boots Soap and ASB Numerous AS/EDT I've been given over the years. A whole bunch of blades I'm working my way through so far my preferred ones are Treet Black Beauties, Feathers and Gillette 7 o'clock yellows. All the best Nic

Thanks for the welcome guys Ooop sorry missed off Wars shaving cream, Vulfix 2235 Super Badger Brush, Vulfix 404 Boar brush and a wilkinson sword brush (boar) which I bough years ago and recently found. Oh and a block of Alum.... I think that's it for the moment.

Its reasonably easy, I have found them in a couple of independent chemists. The large chains do not stock them. I understand that there was a change in the formula of the sticks, the new ones don't contain tallow, but I don't know if that's the same with the bowls.
Ah, the bowls are glycerine based. Such a beautiful scent, and wonderful lather, with a great post-shave feeling. I have still 2 tallow sticks!
OK well with a recommendation like that I'll make sure to pick one up next time I see one. Despite being really cheap the Boots soap is my top latherer.
I know the Boots soap also. It smells good, and lathers good, but I think I prefer the Erasmic soap. I remember the Boots Cool Cologne cream, but I did not like it so much.
Well I've just picked up an Erasmic bowl, and I'll give it a go tomorrow. I've had a sniff though and it reminds me of my grandfathers bathroom.
