I take the liberty of starting this week's SoS thread, if nobody minds. Foremost though, in order to keep with tradition, I would like to quote rodd, our mod :1respect :
"Let's see those shaves for the week! Bonus points for pictures!"

Monday morning in Singapore, without pictures, though:

    * Kent's Luxury Shaving Soap
    * Kent BLK2 pure grey badger
    * Wade & Butcher 5/8+ wedge

No AS / AB today. Have been shaving only with the Kent soap for over 2 weeks now and the skin on my face is smooth, soft, nourrished and just loooooves that soap....

    Menthol Monday

Truth be told, I didn't really need to shave this morning. Yesterday's shave was on a whole new level that I had not heretofore experienced. Not only did I barely have stubble 24 hours later, I barely left any whiskers in the sink. I did one pass just for fun and besides, had I not shaved, my whole day would have been thrown off.

    Hot Shower
    Noxema Pre-shave
    Boker Red Injun #102
    VDH Boar
    Willams soap
    Mentholated WH/Aqua Velva classic
    Acqua Di Gio
    Oregon Wild Hair Stache wax.

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Goodfella/Wilkinson Sword day 2
    Valobra Menthol-SS
    Arko Aqua-AS Gel
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Quorum-EDT

The cooling effect from the Valobra Menthol soap is not that strong, if it's compared to Proraso Green, or White, but it's still nice. The Arko Aqua gel added to the menthol effect very well! ;) :D

    Monday:
L2 "Stick Schick" with Schick blade. I think I'll use up the blade in this one before rotating. Five shaves so far, should get a couple more.
Reknotted EverReady brush. Still shedding more hair than I like. Hopefully it will stop before they're all gone.
Both Erasmic and Cremo creams. Why not?
    Ended up with a DFS.

    Monday Shave

    Monday, March 22, 2010

    E.J. Chatsworth
    Bolzano Superinox
    Body Shop Old Formula SC
    Vulfix 2234 Super
    Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
    Ogallala Bay Rum

Very nice shave--just a tad short of BBS. This was my first use of a Bolzano blade, and it definitely is a quality blade. Future shaves will give me an idea of its longevity.

I was in a bay rum mood this morning, so chose Ogallala Bay Rum toner, which proved to be an excellent finish.

    Razor: Vintage Merkur Slant
    Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two band
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Valobra Shave Stick
    A/S: Proraso Aftershave Balm

The vintage slant and Iridium pairing is an excellent combination while the Valobra shave stick never disappoints. A great shave followed by a soothing balm and I am ready to start the week.

Mentol Monday shave with my newly aquired NEW razor.
Very smooth and great shaving razor! I am impressed with the mildness of this razor. I expected a little more agressiveness due to the open comb but that was definately not the case. To think this razor was made 80 years ago and it shaves as well as the present day DE razors, WOW! I love it! :D

This was my first time using both the Williams soap and the Feather blades. The Williams performed well although it will take me a few more tries to get the water content right. The Feather blade is probably now my new go to blade. Verrrrry smooth. This blade easily got the stubborn hairs on my neck that usually get left with the Derby's and the Astra's. This has been my best shave to date. :happy088
