Menthol Monday Good looking shaves and pictures, all! It's Menthol Monday; I woke up late and sore (long trail run this weekend in the mountains), so it was a quick & easy shave today. Merkur Futur w/Red IP (hand-stropped) Kent BK4 Brush, O-ringed Proraso Green Tub Soap Aloe Vera gel mixed in hand w/ Skin Bracer AS Skin Bracer was my Dad's fave; Nice to think about him, and to enjoy the menthol kick too. Took me a while to warm up to Skin Bracer, but I'm a proponent. Similar sting to Aqua Velva, but a bit more menthol, and just as much skin-care goodness, to my face.

+1 to the Fly Fishing Chris! I live right on the Applegate River which is a tributary to the Rogue River in Southern Oregon. Nice Rainbow here and Steelhead are running right now. BTW your photo is awesome as usual I drool daily over your straights.
+1 I found out why last weekend! Good stuff. I recommend if you don't have any TSD goods to get on good foot and do the bad thing and get yourself some.
Tuesday, March 23rd Hot shower VDH Deluxe mugsoap Omega 11126 boar Mühle R106 w/ Gillette 7 O'clock De Vergulde Hand alum 444 ASB Davidoff Adventure EdT
Hot Shower Frederick Reynolds Chopper Semogue 1305 Arko Soap (ground up shavestick) Masters Bay Rum Murray and Lanman's Florida Water Murray's Australian Bees Wax Another fantastic shave! The Arko quite possibly works better as a soap than a stick. I never thought I'd see a soap easier to lather than VDH but this is probably it. It took almost nothing to have tons of thick nice lather. The soap just seemed to explode after only a couple swirls of the brush.
Tuesday: Omega Wooden Handle Goodfella/new Elios Musgo Real-SC Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Musgo Real Classic-AS Aramis-EDT I really like these Elios blades, because they seem to be very sharp and smooth. The Musgo cream also was a pleasure to use this morning. It always delivers so much rich lather, and the scent is a delight.
Tuesday: Lord Smart razor Royal SuperStainless blade Palmolive Classica SC Vulfix 375S brush Pinaud Clubman A/S Smooth, comfortable and close. What a way to start the day.
Tuesday Wade Wingfield & Rowbothom 6/8ths, 1/4 hollow, Irish Point Omega boar brush Wilkinson Blue Bowl s/s Draggon Noir a/s splash Malizia Vetyver e de t I wondered why the Draggon Noir a/s smelled familiar the first time I opened the bottle - it smells exactly like Wilkinson shave soap! I bought a tub of Wilkinson's yesterday after Dragonboy (very nicely) corrected my too dogmatic statement about it's quality, or lack thereof. Along with the Draggon Noir and the Malizia, it left behind a lovely scent of wood and citrus, and gave a nice shave too. From now on I'll keep a tub of this around. goshawk
They are solid shavers. I got this one at a good price as I found the blade separately and then found someone with a set of scales to match. I may try and find the bolstered scales at some point to upgrade its look some.

Tues Morning Shave quick one passer today as I shaved in the evening yesterday. -Arko Shave Stick-finally get a crack at this wonderful stuff -24mm Silvertip Badger Brush -Schick Injector-locally purchased blade-cvs -Aluminum block -Mojito AS Milk (I wanted some ice and a straw but it was only 5am) The Schick injector is quite forgiving. Let's you fly thru when in a hurry. I'd macerate my face if I tried this with a DE razor.
Tuesday: Hot Towel Vulfix 247 badger CO Bigelow SC Gillette Super Adjustable (1st pass: 3, 2nd & 3rd pass: 5) Personna (day2) Homemade Eucalyptus Lime ASB Today I learned an important lesson the hard way. Make sure the bay doors are closed good and tight on an adjustable. My super was rattling like crazy. I thought I was just getting a little more "auditory feedback", but I noticed the shave was pretty rough as well. Gave the bottom a little twist and I was good to go. The rest of the shave was just as smooth as the last time I used it. I don't own any Tabac (for Tabac Tuesday) so I made up for missing Menthol Monday with some COB. Have a great shave and a great day!
