Great shave! Corn Huskers lotion was a visit from an old friend. Three passes, BBS. The MP3 was set to a playlist called Pothead Acoustic (James Taylor, Jim Croce, Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, etc.) great tunes. Unfortunately the weather sucks here this morning, again. I'm begining to feel like I live in Portland or Seattle, I'm starting to wonder if this Sunshine state thing wasn't just a big hoax to attract tourists. Cafe Bustelo, this morning to drink. Cuban coffee is a great wake up. A couple of these and I can hear my beard grow.

    Arko Aqua-AS Gel
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer

Guys, the Proraso White bowl soap has more than enough menthol in it to be perfect for a Menthol Monday shave. It's fantastic stuff, and so popular here in Montreal. ;) :D

An excellent shave this morning, but not that satisfying. I face lathered for 3 passes, and face lathering--for me, anyway--just doesn’t make the luxurious lather that I like. Thinking it might just be the small brush, I tried bowl lathering for the final pass, the touchup in the chin area. In no time, I had mounds of creamy lather. I’m trying to find the best setup for travel, applying the constraints of size, weight, and simplicity. I have more ideas to try, but canned goo is not among them. I really did get a great shave, so I shouldn’t complain.

Whew! Better but not great. I haven't bled much in two days and have gotten decent enough shaves but just not nearly as comfortable as what I'm used to getting with DEs. I'm still going to give it through Friday just to see if I pick up some subtleties to make it more comfortable but I think I'll leave the Micromatic as an every once in a while razor. Don't get me wrong, its still better than cart shaving, but just not as comfortable as with a DE. My 1912 is awesome though, my only problem is figuring out the Micromatic.
