    Glycerin Pre-shave
    Boker Red Injun #102
    Omega Boar Brush
    Palmolive Shave Stick
    Osage Rub
    Florida Water

Had not used straight Osage Rub for quite a while, I normally cut it with witch hazel but not today. It is quite the menthol kick in the teeth. Great shave today too. Aerosmith and Stevie Ray Vaughn on tunes.

    Menthol Monday

    Razor: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow
    Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
    Cream: Ingram
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Proraso Splash

Ahh, nice cooling shave with the Ingram cream, followed by some more menthol goodness supplied by the Proraso. I find that Proraso is always a fine finish--it's one of my favorites.

    Menthol Monday!

    Razor: 5/8 Slack & Grinold
    Soap: VDH
    Mug: Vintage Old Spice
    Brush: Medium Badger
    ASB: Nivea
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue :freezing

BBS shave in two passes! I love this S & G! Started with my 4/8 Barber's Best I picked up from an antique store and it was not cutting it (pun intended) used the S & G and it was like butter! :happy108 Now I KNOW FOR SURE that my honing skills SUCK big time! I am sending the other straights out to get a professional bevel honed on them then, I can keep them tuned up. The VDH soap is not too bad. I was surprised at the lather produced and the staying power. Not bad for a buck or two a puck! ;)

    Monday

Prep: Hot shower, hand strop blade, soak brush
Coffee: Home roasted Costa Rica Tarrazu, black
    Soap: TSD Lime
Brush: Treville Daxer, a little vintage badger made in West Germany
    Razor: 1967 Fatboy @ 7 - think I'll drop it back to 6
    Blade: Dorco ST-301, day 3, 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Brut AS Balm
    'Stache Wax: Wacky Tacky

    Shave Rating: 4 Blades

7 is just a bit much on the Fatboy. I had dialed it up from 6 just to experiment. Results - a real close shave but just a touch of burn.

    Sunday Night:

'67 Gillette Slim Adjustable (three passes on 5, WTG, WTG, XTG)
    US Personna blade (1)

    Semogue 1305 Boar Brush
    Trumper Coral Skin Food (preshave)
Ginger's Garden Bay Rum Shave Soap
    Swiss Pitralon Aftershave
    Kiehl's Cream for Men Moisturizer

    Rating: 5 razors!

I have the best luck with drugstore brand US made Personnas, they feel just sharp enough, and they're incredibly smooth on my face. Due to this I went with a more aggressive setting than I've been using. The ginger's garden soap has been giving me consistently great lather, and I'm really preferring it over creams at the moment. Even the Pitralon scent is starting to grow on me, and of all the splashes I've tried, it leaves my face feeling the best afterward. I'm almost outta this 4ml decant, i'll have to get a big bottle soon!

Great BBS shave, no pain, and all is well in the world!

I Forgot it was Menthol Monday. Another good shave out of the always fantastic TSD Soap. 3rd shave on the Pella, I think it is broken in and gentle as a lamb, but still nice and sharp.

As for now, I'm going to post my next 7 shaves as I'm going to Cozumel for a week. It has been forecast as rainy, but the resort is all-inclusive, so who cares?

    Feather portable
    VDH Boar Brush
    Feather -or- Derby Blade
    TSD Iced Lime Verbana Soap
TSD Iced Bourbon Vanilla -or- Iced Polynesian Red -or- Iced Lime Verbena Aftershave.

    Hasta Luego!
