well i have been DE shaving for about a week and absolutely love it. i have never had shaves this smooth. yesterday i said i wasn't going to shave because i wasn't going to do anything except stay home and watch some playoff hockey. well i just couldn't stand the stuff i had on my face and went about shaving . with all the shaving creams/soaps, brushes, aftershaves and blades, i hope i can control myself ahaha. i want to try it all! i absolutely need to have a shave everyday now.
I started DE shaving in Dec. of last year. I've missed 3 days, including weekends. Its a beautiful thing.
I know what you mean. Been sick for the past few days (really bad cold) and thought I would skip my shaves this weekend. Couldn't do it. And afterwards I felt better having had a wonderful shave. Amazing, isn't it?
i used to look shaving as that! a chore ahahhaha. now i love shaving and just like geneaut... i have also been thinking about touch ups in the afternoon ahahha.
yep - I am +1 on that. Six months ago I tried my best to avoid shaving even the three day itch phase was better than the discomfort I got from shaving. Now I can hardly go a day with out it. I have been sick for the last week with a VERY bad cold and pink eye and just figured I would skip the shaving. Didn't happen, Before the end of day one I was in front of that mirror whipping up a batch of lather and I felt better after I finished a near BBS shave.
Same feeling here too! Been DE shaving for 4 months now and newer put my hands on a cartridge razor! I look forward for the next shave. Love it! :happy088
Prepare for nirvana. You may feel the urge to climb Everest or K2 after applying the clubman, but give it a minute and the urge will pass. And yes, you will be 10% more handsome, and appealing after a wetshave followed by application of Pinaud. It's scientific fact and can not be disputed. Don't be surprised if other males sense your masculinity and treat you with deference. The female of the species will be curiously intrigued by your new aura of manhood, so don't be alarmed if they appear in large numbers near you.
btw, is there anything i can add to clubman so it has a cooling effect. i read in another thread about some people adding menthol crystals or mixing aftershaves. what would be best? do any of you guys do this to your clubman?
YES! I mean yes, there is a way to cool it down and you nailed it. The bay has menthol crystals for sale. Buy some and add about an 1/8 of a teaspoon to a small clubman sized bottle of AS and that should put a decent little frost on your cheeks. Add more if need be. Keep in mind, its a lot easier to put more menthol in than it is to take it back out. Personally I don't care. I would put an edge on a menthol crystal and str8 shave with it if I could I like menthol so much.
Just had my first DE shave yesterday. I used to go 3-6 days between shaves with my old Gillette Fusion cartridge razor, but I'm already thinking about trying the DE again tonight.
Probably worth mentioning that my 3-6 day wait was putting off the inevitable razor burn and ingrown hairs on my neck.
