Lately I've been getting fantastic shaves from vintage UK Wilkinson blades. My brother showed up at my house with a bag full, around 50 blades, unopened in the original blister packs. He found them at the annual church rummage sale. If you ever see any of these, grab 'em. They slice whiskers like a hot knife going through warm Velveeta.
Rich, you are officially the King of Vintage shave stuff. Alpine Menthol in a glass bottle Williams Aqua Velva (older than dirt version :happy001 ) OLD Wilkinson's What else you got?
Do you find that vintage blades work equally as well as modern blades, not as well as their modern counterparts or better than the modern ones?
Vintage stainless blades which have been properly stored are still very usable. Carbon steel blades on the other hand, do not age well. The Wilkinsons pictured above shave dramatically better than the modern German Wilkinsons in my experience.
