Thanks...the suit is a double breasted pinstripe that Dad bought in the late '40s when he got back from the war. The pants are a little snug on me, but not much. The hat is a Stetson Sovereign Series fedora that I've had for a few years. Looks like you used some great equipment today!
Monday, June 21st Hot shower Neutrogena Face wash / with Menthol Hot Towel Face compress 51 Gillette Tech with Black plastic handle Astra blade Day 1 TSD Iced SubZero soap w/ C.O. Bigelow cream for superlather (couldn't decide on either the soap or the cream ) cold water rinse and cold towel compress. This was my first shave with a Tech. It really did well - I like the razor the plastic handle could have a little more heft to it. 4.5 blade shave for sure.

Congratulations on your first DE shave! There are a lot of Gentlemen on this forum that are really into the menthol thing as well. The important thing is that you find what is your style and preferences in shaving gear, accessories, soaps, creams, aftershaves, balms, whatever. When you are first starting out you have a number of interesting items that are begging to be tried. Great to have you in the SOTD thread and look forward to your shaving gear selections and comments as you try new things.
Tuesday June 22 65' Slim Dorco 301 (1) Tweezerman Badger Home Made Preshave Oil Tabac SS Cold Water Splash Stephans Bay Rum Skin Toner Superior 70 A/S 5 Blades, 3++ passes. Took time for good prep. Went slow. Got a great shave. My M Bomb order arrived yesterday. Looking forward to trying it out.
Hot Shower Vitamin E Oil Pre-shave Wade and Butcher Wedge Semogue 2000 Omega Eucalyptus Soap Mentholated Witch Hazel/Aqua Velva Classic Davidoff Cool Water It just doesn't get much better than this! This razor is fast becoming the best of the fleet. I also mug lathered the Omega soap and floated the mug in a sink full of really hot water (scuttle effect). Provided 3 passes of warm mentholated lather and a BBS shave. The mentholated hazel and Aqua Velva Classic kept the tight, menthol face going and the Cool Water provided a nice finish. This really was the standard for BBS shaves and this razor, despite it's early edge problems has come on strong recently and really delivered some epic shaves.

The Everest cream always delivers wonderful lather with menthol, and the aftershave/edc balm really gives a good cold punch.
Not only does that Ming Shi obviously love you, but I think the feeling's mutual...) Happy Tuesday From Steamy Florida! Hot Shower Arko Shave Stick VDH Boar 1941 Gillette Ranger Tech = The Very First Super Speed Dorco 301 (2) Cold Water Splash Alum Block Brut A/S Brut ASB 3 Passes = DFS. As I was digging around in my box o' razors this past weekend looking for stuff to trade with Williams Warrior. I saw my '41 Ranger Tech. I had ID'd it and tagged and bagged it, intending to sell it later. But then I figured that since it was the Super Speed that started them all, I should go ahead and try it. It is very satisfying to whip out a 69 year old razor, drop a blade in it and breathe new life in to something that was cast away a long time ago.
