No, don't think your memory is going. Not to many folks use or at least admit to using a Parker. I have a 91r that works well and I use it occasionally though I used to use it a lot.

The 99r is new and I'm not sure about it yet. Very aggressive/harsh during today's shave. Maybe a different blade? I'll keep everyone posted.

This is late, technically I did this 6/22.

    Razor: Merkur 34C
    Blade: Derby
    Pre-shave: homemade glycerine concoction
Soap: Earthly Body Hemp Shave Cream in Kissable
Brush: cheapo brush from the Art of Shaving

This was by far the worst shave I've had yet with my DE. I think it's the shaving cream! I've used it before and it was okay, but that was in a different city so I wonder if the water made a difference. I also used a brush this time, and the cream didn't lather. AT ALL. Before I just slathered it on and shaved away. I tried it again so I could write a review, but maybe I'll have to try it again one more time before I do that. :p

Today's experiment; Proraso! I haven't used it before, just got two HUGE tubes of it for about $10 at Bath and Body Works during their sale.

5 blades, 3+ passes. Got a 3rd great shave from this Dorco 301, but probably will not push a 4th as it was starting to jump and catch a bit. The menthol combo worked too....OH YES!

Tried to push the Personna an extra day and while I didn't get any tugging, it just wasn't as sharp. Still got a decent shave, but it took some extra work to get there. Not BBS, but good enough to look presentable at work today.

Prep: Hot shower, hand strop blade, soak brush
Coffee: Home roasted Costa Rica Tarrazu, hot and black
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood - first time using, loved it
Brush: Vulfix 404, The Grosvenor - first time using, so far, so good
    Razor: Gem Jr. Lather Catcher
Blade: Gem "Ted Pella", day 5, 3+ passes
Post: Tap water rinse, ice water splash, Osage Rub, Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood
    'Stache Wax: Firehouse Wacky Tacky

    Shave Rating: 5 Blades

Great shave, today. Because of the summer heat, the city's water has finally refused to run cold. It's luke warm at best. Therein lies the reason I keep a half liter bottle of water in the 'fridge - for my ice water splash. Just feels so good!

    Wednesday evening

This humidity is gonna kill me! Thank goodness for indoor plumbing and the invention of the shower!

    After a long day of cutting tile, and keeping a bunch of men happy (shaving products people! getcha minds outta the gutter! geesh :rolleyes: ) my shave consisted of;

Long Handled Super Adjustable set at 3
    Sharp brand blade day 1
    Omega boar
    Dr something something shaving cream
    Grisi Donkey's Milk bath soap
    Anherb Conditioner

Ugghhh....Dr something something shaving cream! Picked this up at Londons last weekend as I was feeling adventurous, had never heard anyone speak of it on the forum, and Londons was having a sale.

Big mistake! This stuff doesn't lather worth a darn! I gave up on it fairly quickly and grabbed the Grisi soap and lathered it. Now that is an awesome soap! Saved my shave. Yeah, the name is a bit funny, but I can't knock the product at all.

I'll post a review of that Dr something something cream (after I go see what the actual name is, of course.) so others may avoid it if they see it.

    Ming Shi TTO/new Sharp
    Nord Ost-SC (Paldies, Alexey!)
    Svoboda-AS Balm (Paldies, Alexey!)
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Pino Silvestre-EDT

I absolutely love this Nord Ost cream, because it lathers like a bomb, and smells great. The menthol effect is not too strong, but it's still noticeable, especially after the shave. That Svoboda balm is a true healing for sensitive skin. It contains all the right ingredients, like vitamin E, allantoin, and of course, menthol! ;) :D

Bonne Fete a tout mes amis quebecois! :)

    Razor: EJ Chatsworth
    Blade: Super Iridium
    Brush: Simpson Emperor 2
    Soap: Proraso Classic (green pot)
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Proraso Splash

A very refreshing shave this morning. The Proraso soap provided a welcome cooling tingle, which was extended a bit by the Proraso splash. I feel ready to handle whatever I will encounter today.

    Thursday, more favorites.

    Williams soap
    Crabtree and Evelyn boar brush
    Schick J1 injector
    Schick blade

If I'm not mistaken, this is the fifth time I've used Williams in the past six days. Didn't really plan a Williams week, it's just turned out that way.
