Has anybody seen these things? Or own a pair? I just ordered the classic this afternoon. They are too cool. I can't wait for them to arrive!

I haven't used them, but they are talked up pretty high on the ultralight backpacking forums.

I've been wanting some for months, but:

    A) they're expensive

    B) there's no local stores that have my size range to try on and make sure I get the right size, or I would've ordered weeks ago. Everytime I go to the closest stores to me that carry them (nearly an hour away), they're out.

But I will have some someday, either the KSO or Sprints

  4. I have a pair. I still don't like them as much as running barefoot, but they are still nice. I can't run in regular shoes since I get shin and knee pains real quick.
They take a little getting used to, but they're a lot of fun to run in. I wouldn't hike all day in them depending on the trail, but for a nice distance run they're perfect.
They're nice to drive in as well. Basically most outdoor things that doing barefoot is fun :D

I can't stand flip-flops because of the piece between my toes. I couldn't image trying to get used to these.

    But that's me.

I don't like that either, but with flip flops I can't stand having grip and hold the shoe with my toes by that little piece. with these shoes, the fact they wrap around and conform to your foot eliminates that, and probably lessens the effect of that little piece feeling. I tried some on - wrong size, as stated above, but I wanted to get an idea of what they felt like, and it's not bad at all.

They definately make a fashion statement!! Can't wait to see which celebrity endorses these to make them fashionable to the masses. Wonder if they're the next crocs. Looks like they would be good lightweight hiking shoes to keep you from getting blisters between the toes.

I own a pair of these, and it does take a little while to get used to it but they are fun to run in.

    W00T! W00T!

one of the "local" stores finally has some KSO's in stock in the size range I need to try on, and they're setting a pair of each back for me on Monday!

(and by "local" I mean the closest of 3 within 100 miles - at ~60 miles away)

I've got a pair and I love them, I've had mine for around 4 months now and haven't seen any real wear yet. Took a bit to get used to but after that there perfect.

I haven't used these, but I have a friend who has a pair and loves them. He's even worn them in the commercial kitchen where we work.

    Looks like a cool concept.

  14. So this thread inspired me to start running again. I haven't pulled out the five fingers as I prefer going barefoot. Thanks for the exercise motivation guys, already lost five pounds lol.

I have a pair of these - had them for a couple weeks now. Still getting used to them, haven't tried a run in them yet.

I saw these mentioned on a blog the other day but dismissed them without reading because I can never find anything special to fit my feet. However, looking at the website the largest may just fit. However that is still a lot of dough for something like that. With my knee injuries this summer I have been sitting home far too often and when my knees feel up to walking, it hurts to put on shoes. I won't wear flip flops for the reasons mentioned above and crocs don't give support to really hike (especially on a slippery slope).

For those of you that have worn these, how are they on wet slopes? crocs roll out from under my feet and are useless on a wet or muddy slope (or even walking along a creek bed)

  17. They're pretty good for anything wet. The bottoms rubber is grippy because of lots of little grooves that open when the sole stretches, if that doesn't make any sense then I'll try and get a picture. It might feel weird walking in mud or a creek bed though because you can feel the mud and silt going in between your toes :D

Woo-Hoo!!!! Size 45 black KSO's are on my feet as I type! :happy108

  19. How are you liking them so far =D?

loving them, thankfully, as I hoped I would. I prefer barefoot, so when I first read about these looooong ago, I've been interested, but wondered if it was just a fad of sorts...they've stuck around long enough for me to be convinced to get a pair - then it was just the wait for them to be in stock.

Love 'em! Haven't even run in them yet, but looking forward to it.
