I am not sure what is going on but my face has been getting very dry from the top edge of where I lather up to under my eye. It is not just drying out but getting kinda hard and doing this more on the right side than the left. I have started to brush my lather up higher but on Menthol days sometimes it is a bit much. My beard area is nice and soft and SWMBO loves the way it feels but the rest of my face is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?

Also I am currently use Nivea's mentholated body gel in the shower. However we are moving and the new house has a normal size tub/shower and is a major upgrade to the phone booth that I shower in now. there are also nice shelves in the tile work and I will have more space to put my soaps. So I am looking for recommendations of a good bar soap as well.

    Thanks!

Have you tried a moistureizer like Nivea? For a good shower soap I like Kirks original cocoa castille bars. Lathers like crazy and is non drying, I don't know if I got the name completely right but you get the drift.

Well.....I just sent you something that may help, Bill.

Normally, I don't use any products on my face, other than alum or witch hazel. No soap, no cleaners, nothing. However I wanted to get somewhat of an idea how the preshave would feel for you guys. So, I applied some to my face one day. I have to say my face felt great after my shower! Perfectly moisturized, not dry, not oily. Balanced.

Anyway, thought you may want to try using the preshave that way. See if it helps.

I had very dry skin on my face this past winter. I used nivea revitalizing lotion at night and nivea energizing face scrub every other day. This made a noticable difference for me. I also started using yardely oatmeal almond soap instead of grandpas pine tar. The yardely definetely leaves my skin in better shape.

When it comes to moist, soft skin, the ISZ pre-shave is the very best product I've used on my face, ever. It's also an amazing pre-shave (also the best of those I've tried).

Not trying to hijack the thread but where can I buy ISZ preshave? I would have guessed TSD store but I don't see it anywhere.

It hasn't been released yet. :) Soon, though.

Bill, I really like the aveeno line of products. I have a dry patch on my forehead that is responding well to their calming cream moisturizer. Kinda pricey, but I got a free sample with something else I bought.

I'm going to try it the same way - probably tonight. I've had great results with menthol before - I may even add a very small bit o' da bomb... :D

Yeah, I did feel it needed to be kicked up a bit. ;)

Thanks Jason - I will keep that in mind. I am moving to a new place and I get a bathroom cabinet all to myself, so I will be shopping for products to put on the shelves. Although the shelves are almost full now with shave stuff.
