    Parker combo...

Shaved this evening with the Parker shavette...and it was nice!

    hot shower
    Parker shavette
    Shark Super Stainless blade
    Ogallala Bay Rum soap
    VDH boar brush
    OBR Limes and Peppercorns AS

I wanted the Shark to work, and it did! Good shave with little/no irritation or burn! This will probably be my shavette combo as soon as I can get my hands on a bulk pack of Shark blades.

Anybody got any suggestions for where I can get my Sharks at a decent price? PM me.

Exceptionally close shave, looks great, neck appears to have a great tan, from all the razor burn...Shave appeared to be going well, it wasn't til after that My wife made a joke about me cutting myself. Checked in the mirror and sure nuff, a weeper on top lip, and chin...And shortly after the red burn and a couple shave bumps showed up...I want a rain-check on my Monday Shave...
WOW, it's now 2 hours later, the shave bumps are gone, the razor burn has faded, leaving behind one of the closest BBS's, I can't keep my hands off my face, checking it out...Actually a great shave, but I trashed that blade, don't want to deal with that one again, even though the razor kept everything locked in place and was heavy enough to make it work. If that had been my Super Speed, it would have bounced and I would have changed the blade in the beginning...I really hate to say it, as I have so many, and I've been such a fan, but I'm starting to see 2 or 3 BAD BLADES per pack even with these "Horizontal" Derbys, the Verticles only have maybe 1 good blade in 2 packs. I can usually spot them by the very light printing, before they tear at my face...Maybe it's time to learn hand-stropping...I'm going to have to try as they are becoming sooooo inconsistant. I'm going to trade the unopened boxes, but I still have 6 months worth left in this box, although not to worry probably most will end up in the trash anyway, so I'll probably blow through these in a few weeks at this rate...It's a shame.

Fabulous, simply fabulous is the best way for me to describe this shave--the Tet a tet cream and balm provide everything I need. Nice, cool menthol, and not only that--the soothing and relaxing effect is wonderful. My skin feels like it's born again. ;) :D

    Anchorset Finest
    CO Bigelow
    Muhle Bulldog
    Red Pack Personna (1)
    AV Ice Sport

Shave two with the traded Muhle razor was a bit better due to the fresh blade. Unless Pella has a delivery for me tomorrow, I will be going back to the Feather Portable. Also first try with the AV Ice Sport cooling aftershave. This stuff isn't all that sporty or cooling. Will be adding some Menthol to it to bring it up to par with the Barbasol.

    Hot Shower
    RAB Scuttle
    TBS Synthetic Brush
    TSD ISZ Soap
    Muhle R106
    Gillette Bleue (2)
Witch Hazel / Alum Powder Blend
    Alcolado Glacial
    Florida Water
    Arko Cool ASB

    3 Passes = BBS Bliss!

The Body Shop Synthetic Brush is getting softer with every use, probably because I vigorously abuse it mashing and pumping the lather in the scuttle.

    7 O'clock Yellow (1)
    Vulfix 2235 S
    Home Made PreShave Oil
    TSD Sub Zero SS
    Osage Rub, Lime Sec

4.7 Blades, near BBS, but it took 4 passes+ a weeper to get there. I have high hopes for the Gillette Yellow based on the high reviews from others. I was expecting a 3 pass BBS. Problem could have been me, the prep, razor, etc. Time will tell after I play around with some variables. An initial layer of Osage Rub followed by a layer of Lime Sec made for a great "icy lime" sensation.

This is the first time I've tried this razor that my wife got at a garage sale-it absolutely sucks. It just didn't mow down the whiskers like just about everything else I've ever shaved with. Strange. Dud blade perhaps? I haven't felt this much stubble after a shave since my electric days back in the 1970's.
Love that Rosemary Mint and the rest of the goodies slopped on my face after shaving.
