Tuesday July 20 59' FatBoy, set on 7 Gillette 7 Oclock Yellow (2) Ever Ready boar Arko/TSD Signature Hybrid SS Stephans Bay Rum Skin Toner A/S TSD Signature-Bay Rum Hybrid Mix TSD Bay Rum Cologne 4.5 Blades, 4+ passes. BBS on cheeks, but not on neck, where I got some irritation trying to get major remaining stubble. Took extra time face lathering the Arko too. Reached for my skin friendly Bay Rum lineup as a result. The blade is above average, but not getting the level of reduction as other superior blades, such as Gem, 7 OC Black, IP Red, Iridium, or even Dorco 301. Will try this in another razor next, and perhaps try a higher setting, or try another blade in the pack in case this is a bad one.
Tuesday, July 20, 2010 Razor: Jaggerooney Blade: Super Iridium Brush: Simpson Emperor 2 Soap: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Taylor's No. 74 Victorian Lime A superb shave this morning--close, smooth, and irritation-free. I couldn't ask for anything better. The Blenheim Bouquet (a gift) makes a great lather with a scent that I really like. And the Taylor's Victorian Lime provided a fine, summertime finish.

I have used them a number of times now and their cooling effects on these hot summer days are really quite refreshing.
Tuesday Prep: Hot shower, hand strop blade Hot Coffee: Tanzania Nyamtimbo Peaberry, black Soap: TSD Florida Water Type (first time using) + 3 drops M Bomb Brush: Vulfix 406, The Burlington Razor: Gillette Red Tip SS (forgot the year!) Blade: ASR Platinum Chrome, day 2, 3+ passes Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Razorock, Humphreys Maravilla Lotion + 2 drops M Bomb 'Stache Wax: Firehouse Wacky Tacky Shave Rating: 4 Blades The fantastic smell of this soap helped boost the rating to four blades. Other than that, the shave was so-so. Seems to be par for the course when using the Red Tip.

Thanks for the style props!! I try to keep it clean I find the C&E products to be great and very addicting! Once you get one, you gotta get all of them. Plus, there's a C&E store in the mall right down the road from me. They greet me by my first name when I walk in there, I stop by so often. Wednesday's Shave Arko SS/Moist SC Omega 10029 Baby-Pro Boar '52 Gillette Black Tip Super Speed(Steel)/Astra SP(Day1) Arko Max-Comfort AS Cream Arko Aqua AS Jaguar Fresh EDT I've been very happy with the performance of this razor, but I've been not so happy with the Derbys lately, so today I followed a tip from ChemErik, and tried the Super Speed/Astra SP combination...Man this Black Tip LOVES them...This was one of those "Best Shaves Of My Life" type moments...) Gonna go out and buy a carton of Astras, if this razor likes them that much, the least I can do is buy them for it...)
Wednesday Used the last dab of Proraso cream from the tube I'd cut open. Re-knotted Ever-Ready badger Schick adjustable with shave # 7 on this Schick blade. As DFS as usual.
