The only time the hot shower doesn't fog the mirror is if the central air kicks on..the vent points right at the bathroom mirror.. otherwise, it's the shower and the hot water in the sink that conspire to keep the mirror fogged. I haven't used the No-Fog cloths and potions in a while...does anything work well?
If you still have some of your old canned goo, rub just a little on the mirror and wipe it off and watch what happens!
Serious?? I'll give that a try. There's a half can in the back under the sink, behind the Q-Tips... hhhmmm...prevents fog..what the heck was it doing to my skin? That's temporary at best...
Here in Cairns if there is a problem (missus showering) I just turn on the fan:happy102 I have the opposite problem to you blokes - most of the time I want to cool down the bathroom.
Any type of soap or shaving cream applied to the mirror will work. Typically I use some of my son's Barbasol canned cream. About once a week or so you'll need to reapply just put it on the mirror, let it sit for a minute or two and then wipe in off with toilet paper. Works like a champ.
Shampoo? I used to swim for exercise, and had someone tell me too wash your goggles with shampoo so they won't fog up while your swimming. Perhaps a little dab of shampoo with water to lather it up on the mirror and then rinse and dry might do the trick?
i used to snorkel alot a few summers ago and my cousin told me that seaweed rubbed into the glass of your mask would do the trick...so far it has tho...so who knows maybe you have seaweed laying around your house? lol
Buy a shower mirror is the only long term sure way to solve your problem. http://www.clubmanonline.com/showertek.html
I've tried Rain-X and Never-Fog wipes.. they make a streaked mess.. pass on those... The bathroom is the only room in my house without a ceiling fan... No go... I am up about three hours before the rest of the house.. I S&S in the master-bath which is a few feet from the slumbering SWMBO.. As a matter of fact.. yes. Two kinds. But my wife would have me committed for sure.. Kind of hard to see this mirror while standing in front of the sink.... I have a HUGE shower... I used it to patch a crack in the asphalt in my driveway.. worked awesome!! :happy102
Or use lather from the morning's shave. You just have to repeat this after every time you clean the mirror.
I use baby shampoo on my scuba diving masks. Just rub a bit on the inside then rinse. Or, sometimes we'll put some shampoo in a bucket and fill it with water...then just throw the masks in and let them soak between dives...then just rinse, don't wipe. A mix of shampoo and water may work on the mirror.
