1. Howdy all,

As some of you know once i purchased my le Grelot in bone scales it was love at first shave.

Since then i havent shave with a different razor and figured id get another grelot so im not using the same razor all the time.

So here it is my new 6/8 le grelot in rams horn full hollow grind. My grelot in bone was the grelot 360 blade and the rams horn is the 52 blade.

So as always here is the pictures
  2. Sorry last post the pics didnt go through....enjoy!

  3. Hahaha I was wondering when you mentioned pics. Lovely straights Basil! You make me want to ditch my cheap straight for something nicer ;] or at least a rescale. The natural materials look great together!
  4. lol yeah a little problem with my uploading but i got it sorted it now:)

i do love the natural scales they have a nice weight and feel to them, the bone is way heavier than the horn tho.

I wouldnt be too worried about your razors, i know you have some very nice ones. In the future theres always options for rescales and TI does sell the rams horn scales on their own so its always an option.
  5. Good to know that the bone is heavier.

I was mostly being silly about the razors. I'm about to live in Brazil for two years, so I'm not taking along any valuables anyway.

I do want a set of custom razors though. A black and white Yin and Yang set of Bone and Horn. Seeing the bone Grelot the first time made me think of that.
Do you know if TI does any French point razors?
  6. I know they have a few models with french points.

You could always contact a few vendors and see if they can make you a set.

This is where i got my grelots from but i know they work directly with TI to make custom orders.
  7. Thanks for the link! I hadn't thought of which vendors to contact yet but that does seem to be the best option.

Anyway, let us know how the horn scaled Grelot shaves if it's any different :D
  8. *shaving update*
Just as i thought... its awesome!

the lighter razor felt great in my hands. The bone would be more for heavier beard days and this lighter one would be for every day ussage.

Its a great razor you have to try one
  9. I defiinitely will! Especially as I have been meaning to aquire a 6/8ths razor. I have only 5/8ths at the moment. I have a bigger Bengal but it needs some work before it will be shave ready.
It's funny how much of a difference the weight of the scales makes in the feeling of the shave.
  10. How old are these razors?
  11. well ive had them for a bit less than a year. i bought them new from Martin at Rasurpur
  12. They seem to have too much pitting..
  13. What appears to be "pitting" in the faces of the razors in the posted photo is most likely a layer of oil beading up on the steel surface.
  14. Sorry the pitting is oil on the blades. I always oil after a shave. I assure you that they are perfect as the day I got them.
