    So, I'm 30 and I'd say over the past 5 years or so I've been seeing a gradual recession of my hairline. When I was young, I had a very distinct widows peak, not as bad as the kid on the Munsters (or was it the Addams family), but still pretty prevalent. Now, it's all but gone. And on top of that I started going gray around 23, and now I have a LOT of gray for someone my age. But hey, gray hair's better than no hair.

    So, I know Rogain won't work for a receding hairline, and I've begun using Nioxin. I've seen limited results, but still I think positive. I think I'm seeing some light hair regrowth, but it's really uknown at this point.:o

    Anybody have any suggestions for what might work?

    Ron Popeil (sp?) had a product called GLH. Seemed good on the infomercials.

    You dont get that...you get the food dehydrater.....pocketfisherman....and of course GLH

    GLH= Great Looking Hair btw.

    Cant go wrong with a product that describes exactly what it does to you

    You all are too funny. So far I've got a recommendation for an informercial product, or to just shave my head. Unless I get a better rec, I think I'll stick w/what I'm using for now.

    ....that pocketfisherman is tempting though. :rofl

    There is an old saying but I don't know how true it is. You don't lose gray hairs to baldness. At this point, I'm hoping to turn gray fast. :D

    Seriously. Save your money. Unless you can stop the production of a certain hormone, nothing is going to work. It's genetics and your stuck with how little hair you're going to have. Be happy with who you are and you'll forget about your receding hairline. My wife tried to get me to use some different products. I asked her if she was unhappy with who I was. I also told her that I didn't have a single problem with how she looked. That shut her up. :D

    Haha....good point

    I think if i were to start to lose it..i would either go bald or go extremely short.

    Same for me. ::

    If my hair starts to go gray, that's fine with me - I won't dye it, I'm not a vain person and I certainly don't like the idea of having to redye every fortnight or so. Natural is the best choice for me.
    If my hair starts to disappear - that's fine too. No chemical treatments or whatever else for me - I'll then keep it either short or shave my head, it's as simple as that.

    For me there are more important things in life than going mad over gray or disappearing hair.
    The same goes for everything else with me: I won't use Botox or the likes and I most certainly will not allow some doctor to cut up my face just to make me look 5 years younger.

    It's not really an issue of anyone else noticing, it's an issue of me noticing. I really liked my widows peak, I miss it, and I want it back.

    My hair already is super short. For those of you familiar w/clipper settings, I get my hair cut down to a 2 on top and a 1 on the sides every other week.

    I don't mind losing my hair, but if I can slow it down I'm going to. And FYI, hair loss isn't always due to hormones. Poor diet, bad products, or something more serious could be what's causing hair loss. And there are lots of all natural or all natural based products that promote hair regrowth. Rosemary and Saw Palmetto extract are two of them. Rosemary is in nioxin, and saw palmetto is available everywhere.

    Not to get OT, but saw palmetto should be taken by the majority of men out there. I've read about it a lot, and it's beneficial for mens prostates. I did a lot of research on it, since both my grandparents had prostate cancer.

    I think I'll stick w/what I've been using since I'm seeing some benefit from it. Not a lot, but more than what I've seen from any other product.

    Going Kojack is ok when you're not 22 and you don't have a goofy knot on the top of your dome that looks like a camels hump -- you know, like I do.

    I don't know if this will flip your skirt jramire2, but here's the Hair Loss section from Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine. Seems like you know most of what is already here.

    Personally, I've been taking 5mg daily of Biotin for the past year. It hasn't made any hair regrow, but has made my hair stronger (not thicker) and it doesn't fall out as much.

    Now when you say Stronger.....is it like in Superman...where his one strand of hair was holding a 1,000lb weight?
