I often catch up on the TSD forums from my iPod touch when I am not at a computer. There is a problem I've been running into: the "pop-up" dialogs such as Seach and Quick Links appear and then disappear before I can enter text into them. In general, scrolling around side-to-side, up and down to read forums can be a drag. Is there any way to enable a mobile-friendly view of the forums? BTW, I've only been here a few weeks, and I'm enjoying it a lot! Thanks!
I use my blackberry with no problems, unfortunately I don't really have a way to test with an iphone. A mobile version is something we've certainly been considering.
I am not a proponent of replacing a web browser w/50 different apps, but this is something all parties involved may want to investigate. http://www.tapatalk.com/ I have no connection to the product, nor have I even used it.
I would say give Opera Mini a try, I see that it is available for the Ipod Touch. Opera reformats websites to mobile versions on the fly, I used it to access TSD from my Palm OS Treo for over a year, and now use it on my Android based phone too. While it can be a little quirky on some things, it works pretty well.
iPod Touch and iPhone 3Gs.. both are no problem. I usually browse using Google's RSS reader and then jump over to the forums in Safari to read posts and reply. And though I don't use it for the forums, I do use Opera Mini for all my other browsing needs except web mail.. which is done in iGmail.
Opera Mini is very nice, but pay attention, sometime in the very near future they will be releasing Opera Mobile, which is somehow supposed to be even better
