The aftershave balsam is moisturizing enough so that I don't have to use my Lubriderm. For those of you who cannot read Russian, the shaving cream is on the left in the photo, and the aftershave balsam is on the right.

Friday's Shave: Hot Shower Hot Wet Towel Arko Shave Stick Omega 10029 1965 Gillette Adjustable @3/Rapira Super Stainless (Day2) Arko-Nem Hazelnut-Vanilla Skin Cream/Arko Cool AS Splash Rating:5 Blades Got such a great shave adjusting down to #5 yesterday, I thought I might try shaving at #3 today for the challenge...What challenge? Just a perfect 2 pass and touch-up effortless, irritation free shave...Doesn't get any easier than this...I just thoughtlessly raced around my face with reckless abandon, and acts of ATG buffing that boarded on either heroism or stupidity... only to acheive a BBS that felt like a razor never touched my face...) Be glad when Santa makes the scene...I'm having Guerlain withdrawal...if he doesn't bring my Habit Rouge, I might hold him hostage: A 6 oz. bottle of HR or the Fat Man gets a shave..:shocked003
Hot Shower Rosemary and Mint Conditioner (pre-shave) Fromm Shavette Omega boar Mitchell's Wool Fat Witch Hazel English Leather Cologne Worm Dirt Stash Wax (homemade stash wax in a recycled Grizzly snuff can, thus the name) Good shave! The homemade stash wax is a bit flakier than I'm used to but once combed through and ends twisted, it seemed to work pretty well
Saturday, December 18, 2010 Razor: Jaggerooney Blade: Astra Superior Platinum Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Cream: Portman Square "Notting Hill" (bowl lathered) A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, Speick ASB An excellent, BBS shave this morning--very comfortable. The Portman Square cream easily made a dense and creamy lather full of tallowy goodness with the Vulfix brush. It didn't seem to go through the "sudsy" phase that most creams do when starting to bowl lather. The scent is intriguing and easily noticed, but not extremely strong while shaving. Portman Square has earned a spot in my regular rotation. The Speick balm provided a fine finish and I'm ready for the cold, dry air outdoors.
A nice long hot shower. Pepped with Johnson Baby Oil A Badger Brush to whip Omega Lather, a Conard OC with a Bluebird blade. Two passes and applied Clubman Pinaud Vanilla followed by Canoe after shave balm. A nice comfortable BBS

The little Tuckaway Open Comb is a great shaving razor. I am really liking the aggressiveness of the open comb style razors more each time I use one. This will be a great travel razor as it is very compact in the case. Hope everyone is having as great a shave as I have just experienced! :happy005
Hostage???? Santa??? Shaving Santa's Beard??? WOW! You are really going on the "Naughty" list Lloyd! Don't even think those thoughts! :happy102
Glad to hear you've gotten some wax made. Love the name! Try hitting it with a hair dryer before scraping it up onto your nail. Mine will be a bit flaky, too, if I don't soften it up some. Not so bad with the tin in my pocket during the summer, but the cold winter keeps it a little too hard to use without some prior warming. Might also try adding a little more Vaseline.
