Last shave for this blade and last time I'll use Super-Max. They are generally decent blades and enjoy a good reputation but they just don't cut it for me - literally. 3 Passes and still far away from the results i usually get with a ASP or a Feather..

A fantastic, fresh and frosty shave today that I really enjoyed. Folks, I'm going to be away for a couple of days because of some minor surgery that I'm having tomorrow, but I'll be back very soon.

After yesterday's super close shave in the evening, I really didn't need to shave this morning...So this afternoon its still a judgement call, but wild horses couldn't keep me away from shaving with this set-up... So I did a quick 2 pass perfect BBS, no irritation at all...So in Love with this razor...:happy108

Super-max blade/ Gillette Menthol cream/ Merkur future/Frank silver tip/ Vintage English Leather​

A wonderful floppy soft face lather with the Frank Brush, followed by a BBS 2 pass with touch ups on a future set at 3. This future amazes me in that, every blade I try, gives the same stellar results. I can't really tell the difference between blades. YMMV, but is there a blade out there that doesn't work well with a future.

I always reach for swine when using Mitchell's Wool Fat. The Semogue boar produced a bountiful amount of rich creamy lather and the Futur loaded with a NOS Schick Plus Platinum blade delivered a very close and smooth BBS shave. The Mr. Taylor splash remains a favorite.
