This Hega shaving stick is from Sweden, and was popular back in the 40's and 50's over there, and it is fantastic. I love the old-school scent and rich, creamy lather and gentle skincare that it gives. I feel sad that it's no longer available. Now, it's off to the hospital for my surgery.

While nowhere near as artistic as Ya'll, here is my humble shave picture.

    Have a great weekend Ya'll!

[EDIT] The ramekin that the soap is in came from The Dollar Tree. I bought four of them because I ran out of my Prolon nesting cups and I have four pucks of Nanna June soap that need homes. Well, come to find out, the Nana June puck dropped right in to the ramekin, perfect fit. Plus the ramekins come with a tight fitting lid.

Great pic Jeff! That is what is called an "Action Shot"! It is a true representation of what all of our shaves' actually looks like. Keep them coming we love to see how our shave Brothers goes about their shave process and what equipment they are using. As a matter of fact you and Lloyd inspired me to use my Schick E2 this morning. Thanks for sharing!

Razor: 1935 Schick E2 Injector Razor
Blades: NOS Eversharp Schick Injector Blades
Shaving Cream: Taylor of Old Bond Street - St. James
    Lather Mug: Ceramic
    Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
    Brush: Omega Professional Boar
    Astringent: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    ASB: Nivea replenishing
    Aftershave/Cologne: Brute Classic
Results: BBS in three passes. (The last pass wasn't necessary but it just felt sooo gooood!)

I included a pic this morning of what my actual shave process looks like. (this is my "operating room" during the morning shaves) We see all the "Pretty Pictures" of our shave gear and some times other Brothers are afraid that their pics won't be nicely posed and "good enough" so, I'm showing what our shave process looks like in real life! I know you all can relate to this morning's action shot picture! LOL Keep those pics coming and.......SHAVE ON! :D

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Treet Dura Sharp
    Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
    Cream: Erasmic (metal tube)
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Proraso ASB

The combo of Futur and the Treet Dura Sharp seems to be a match made in heaven (for me). A smooth and close BBS shave without irritation.

Day 4, last day with this rig (no shave yesterday)

    1954 Gillette SS
    Personna Platinum Chrome (3)
    TGN Silver Tip Badger
    TBS Maca Root Shave Cream
    TBS Maca Root Razor Relief
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

almost 4/5. These Personnas just aren't for me, they seem a bit grabby. Everything else gets 6/5. Brilliant lather, and I don't think I have ever felt anything as smooth as my cheeks are right now. Babies all over are crying and feeling inferior. 3 passes all around, then spot lather/shave on cheeks until skin is replaced by glass. Probably about 7 passes.

Snowed in and bored leads to crappy avant-garde shave art

Slept in late this morning so it was a hit and run shave with not time to sit and log it properly but here we go.

Hot water splash, face and neck wash with Irish Spring
    Frederick Reynolds Chopper
    Semogue 2000
Ogalla Bay Rum Sage and Cedar soap
    Draggon Noir EdT

This razor and the Boker Red Injun were neck and neck in the "Straight Shave of the Week." In the end, the Fred Reynolds Chopper won by a nose. This is just a big heavy razor and the extra heft seems to contribute nicely to really close shaves (even with only a decent edge on it, this razor is the bomb!) Today however it had a very good, crisp and sharp edge on it so I was near BBS with a simple 2 pass shave.
