Monday, January 31st Hot shower Nivea for Men Extreme Comfort gel Wilkinson Quattro Titanium razor Nivea for Men ASB Canali Men EdT
Jan, 31 Hot shower Merkur 23C/Wilkinson Sword #8 (hand stropping , want to see for how long it goes) Muhle badger travel brush De Vergulde Hand soap I'm practicing with stropping of DE blade and pretty much impressed. The eighth shave is smooth and comfortable. No aftershave needed after De Vergulde Hand soap. If I can double the life of my blades, it will be great success as all my blades are traded and I have only 2 dozens left... Anyway, that Monday shaving was nice and irritation free. Thinking of going str8 this year, as I don't want to count my blades... Or buy them in bulk :happy102
Monday, January 31st, 2011 Prep: Hot Shower & cup o' Joe Cream/Soap: Razo Rock Brush: Semogue, Custom Boar Razor: Gillette New, BRW Ultra Lite handle Blade: Personna, Red Splash: NA Balm: EJ Sea Buckthorne cream The Semogue is on week two of break-in.. though I have done about a months worth of break-in lathers to accelerate the process.. Lather's awesome but is still to scritchy for my skin. The hairs are just starting to split... patience, patience... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 Prep: Hot Shower & cup o' Joe Cream/Soap: P.160 Tipo Duro Brush: Semogue, Custom Boar Razor: Gillette New, BRW Ultra Lite handle Blade: Personna, Red Splash: NA Balm: Jack Black gel Found a stiff nylon bristle amidst the boar hairs that was the source of some real discomfort when face lathering... Research tells me it might be a gauge used during the sizing and assembly of the knot.. who knows. I removed it. Today's lather was far more comfortable in the absence of this hypodermic-hair! The Tipo Duro is a real close second to Tipo Morbido.. it was a little tough to lather though. Not because of it was in any way inferior, but because all I have is a quarter size sample from which to load the brush.. I made good with what I had!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------
6/8 Wade and Butcher near wedge Arko Shave Stick Ever-Ready Super Silvertip Alum Master's Bay Rum Two WTG and some random touch up strokes. Above the jawline is coming along nicely, but I need to figure out how to improve the quality on my neck. Like anything, it will take some time as skill is earned not purchased. Have a great day all.
