    Mine is a Kimson silvertip.

I'm a sucker for high density, medium knot size, high loft brushes. How about you?

    What's your favorite brush?

I've been salivating over that green handle since Jeff showed it to me Dale!

I do love my Omega Pro boar ... just because it's an awesome brush, not to scritchy and it holds a good lather. ;):D;)

    Knotty Erlenmeyer.
A custom brush made by our own member Rodd. It's shaped like the chemistry flask of the same name and has a 22mm Silvertip TGN knot.

Thats pretty cool. I woudlnt ever think of that design as i have ever seed one but it probably fits in your hand really well.

My favorite is my custom made by Robert and it has 24mm Silvertip Grade A knot. Fastest and slickest lather I have ever made, not to mention its absolutely a work of art.

It's a tie for me -- between my Simpson Duke 3 Best and Semogue 1305 boar.

Favorite? I love all my children.

    I spend the most quality time with;
    Kent BLK4
Knotty Badger Queen's Brush (shaped like a Queen chess piece)
    Omega Boar

wow. I feel honored to have two brushes I made listed already. Those are definitely unique ones that suit you well.
My favorite right now is a Knotty Badger 20 mm best. It performs well in soaps and creams and has a solid backbone.

A 26mm overstuffed Finest. Holds more than enough lather and keeps giving it up, but the feel of that full brush on your face, firm but soft, Oh, it's heaven.

Omega 49 Pro. With its red handle it goes well with the Cella container...

    Love that brush.

Vie Long Horse 13061. It works for me. Soft but with good backbone, an excellent face latherer.

As of the past month or so my favorite is my Frank Shaving Berwick model in ebony (I'm a sucker for black).

If you read my blog post, about my initial first impressions, you might be surprised that I would call this brush a favorite. It was a 'rude introduction' to say the least - having lost a bunch of hairs during the first few latherings, and the logo not even making it past the first before it rubbed clean off.

But the ol'boy settled down after that and performs steps above its budget price. Somewhat of a flat-top, with a slight curvature, it's great for face lathering and a champ with creams and soft soaps.

If you can get past its initial 'bad boy' attitude, as I forgivingly did, I recommend it as a solid low price/high performer brush.

    I have reached a balance...

I don't think I can choose a favorite from those that I have. Anything less than loved has been sold or PIF'd.

So far my fav is the Vulfix 2235 in Super. It rocks as a face lather-er. I have not ventured into the silvertips, customs, or over $100 tier yet, but I expect I will soon, once I am confident of my preferences.

I've recently grown fond of a Thater 4440 I picked up. That's my favorite until next time I shave.

  19. Trying It Out

Maybe not yet a favorite, but starting tomorrow I'm going to try this Ever Ready 750 re-knotted in 2-band Finest with a 20mm knot set at 48mm.
