As satisfying as an excellent steak dinner, but it didn't affect my cholesterol level. :happy005 And the Trumper splash provided a very fine finish.

Gillette Old Type BRW Improved handle Vintage British Wilkinson Mitchell's Wool Fat Rubberset 300n 22mm Vulfix Boar Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum A very nice shave today. The brush is just starting to break in and still shedding some hairs. I was gifted a puck of Wool Fat (thanks Jeff) and it is growing on me, both the scent and creamy lather. I really like the vintage Wilk blades. In the Old Type with a nice lather, they are just about perfect.
Sunday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Voskhod day 2 Russian-made Viking Sensitive SC :love008 :love008 :freezing :freezing Rise Baby Face AS Balsam :love008 :love008 :love008 :love008 Another great "Russian" shave this morning with the Voskhod/Super Speed/Viking Sensitive cream. I definitely find the Russian version of Viking Sensitive to be better than its Bulgarian counterpart, because the lather is richer, and the skincare is more soothing. The Russian version also has more menthol. The Russian version is on the left, and I think the tube is even nicer looking. By the way, this Rise Baby Face balsam is a great buy for just 1 dollar!

Sunday, February 27th, 2011 Prep: Hot shower, D&D Dark Roast Cream: P.160, Tipo Morbido Brush: Semogue, 2010 LE Razor: Rolls & Fatboy Blade: Rolls & Israeli Personna, Day VI Balm: EJ Sea Buckthorn I aborted what was my first attempt at a Rolls shave.. Lathered up and took the first stroke with a very steep angle of attack and a bit of skin stretching and holy tug! I adjusted the angle and stretched a little tighter and ouch! Got through about three quarters of my left cheek and upper lip before I bailed. I grabbed my Fatboy loaded with Day VI on an Israeli Personna and it melted through the long stubble like there wasn't a blade. I did switch back to the Rolls for the final touch up and what I have is a great shave, if just a bit disappointing. No stubble, no nicks or cuts. Cold water rinse and EJ Sea Buckthorn and I am good to go. I don't think the blade needs much more work, but I will certainly come back to the Rolls until I master it.

Sunday, February 27th Razor: Wilkinson Sticky Blade: Super Iridium Brush: Simfix Grosvenor Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Soap: DR Harris Almond Shave Stick A/S: DR Harris Arlington Aftershave Milk Another great shave. The Harris shave sticks work really well for me and I am thoroughly enjoying my newly acquired Wilkinson Sticky. This was my 4th shave with the Sticky and all have been superb. Today's weather is a bit blustery by Southern California standards and the Arlington aftershave milk was just the ticket.
A (mostly) Russian Shave! Happy Sunday From Florida! Hot Shower RAB Scuttle TGN Synthetic Re-Knot Мыло для бритья Bergamot (Soap for shaving) One Pump O' KMF No Scent Feather Portable Voskhod (6) Cold Water Rag Everest Cologne ASB 3 Passes = 4 Blade DFS! One more pass and I would be BBS, but the lower right side jawline, right side lip and "soul patch" area are having issues, so I did not press for the BBS. The Мыло для бритья Bergamot (Soap for shaving) is an interesting soap with a scent I cannot place, even though it is reviewed to be Bergamot. I somehow managed to jack the lather up, twice. It was way too fluffy, but a squirt of KMF fixed it. The Everest Cologne ASB is very fine indeed! It is super cooling and if I can find a source to buy it, I will buy a case! Very nice ASB! Great scent, very moisturizing.
Sunday! Hot Shower Green Marvy Mug MadHatter SilverTip TOBS Lavender SC Lady Gillette Stars - Champagne Kai (3) Cool Water Rinse Hemp Pomegranate Mango Body Moisturizer Pereja Cologne Not feeling good today, woke up with a sore throat and runny nose. Hopefully, it will stop there. Jeff suggested a shower and a shave might make me feel better .. he was right. Plus I smell good, now time to relax before a big week at work.
This Мыло для бритья is so nice of a soap, that even by itself, at least for me, the lather is wonderful. I also find the skincare is very, very good. It is very moisturizing. Dmitry knows what he is talking about!

Feb, 28 I passed out the Sundeay shave because of repair in my apartment. Too much dust there, so I kept thing harsh But, finally, I return back to my new-builded bathroom! First shave there today. Hot shower (new water pipes rocks!) Merkur 23C/Blue Personna platinum#1 Vie-Long horsehair brush Wilkinson Sword soap in a bowl cold water splash What a shave it was! Nice and smooth, close and irritation-free! I skip ASB, did only some cold water splashes. stingraysrock, you have extra Everest ASB with cologne on a way to you, and even Tet-a-tet ASB with COLOGNE ;-) that is rare to find but I was lucky. Plus as I remember there is a full-size Bergamot soap puck to play with. Yes, the new formula Bergamot soap (with cedar oil) has some lathering problems and with my water supply it is quite tricky to lather to. But the skincare and glide is superb even if lather is poor.
