What do you guys think of Arko Shaving Cream? How does that do for ya those who've tried it? I can't read too much about it because everywhere I go, there's no reviews on the stuff. If ya've tried it, did ya like it? Good? Bad? Ugly? I'm lookin for a nickel's worth of free thoughts on this stuff!!

Jason, if you'll look at the top of the page and click reviews, then click shave cream, then click the letter A at the top of that page, you'll see about 3 or 4 reviews for different Arko shave creams.

I've only been wet shaving for a few months, but I'll give you my $.2. I have a tube of Arko cream and have always been very happy with it. I also have the Truefitt & Hill cream sampler, and in my opinion, the Arko is every bit as good as T&H at a fraction of the cost. I know some would disagree with that, it's just my personal opinion. I haven't tried any non-canned cream other than those two, but that's what I can tell you.
I have about half a tube left and I've been wanting to try out C.O. Bigelow. If you'd like you can PM me your address and I'll send you the Arko.

I don't know about the cream but the stick is great. Tons of lather from next to no product and it is pretty friggin slick too.

Just figured I'd throw that out there too. ;)

Put me dow as another fan. Tried a few creams to see what the fuss was about (I'm a mug beater). The high end stuff works well enough but Arko works as well at a fraction of the price. At $2 or so a tube, you miss out on those "refined" scents but I can blow off the "almond sized dab" thing and go for a really rich lather.:D.

I recommend the "Cool" Arko cream.:D

It works just fine it's just that I prefer cream in a tub. I find it takes a little more product than say TOBS to make the same amount of lather but other than that and scent if that's important to you is about the only differences. The stick is the best deal and the best lather in the Arko family.

Like has already been said, Arko has a nice line of creams, and the price is super nice! the stick works well too, and I wish I was a fan, but when I have tried the stick, I always seem to have some irritation. There is something in the stick that does not agree with my skin, maybe it is citronella. The same thing goes for Williams; works fine, but it irritates my skin.

The creams are probably some of the best for 2 dollars a tube. I have the aftershave cream and WOW. Do i ever love that stuff. Makes my face feel so moisturized and it just makes my face feel better after the shave than before. :D

The cream is pretty good for its cheap price. I keep a few tubes here for when I go on trips or just feel like using cream instead of soap.

Like Jeff, the soap bothers my skin. However, I have had no problems with the cream.

The Arko stick is fabulous--some guys hate the scent, but love the lather, but I love everything about it. The scent is very nice, and the lather is crazy-rich and easy to build. The creams are very good too. :)

+1 What he said. I got a free stick of Arko when I bought 100 Derby DE blades and I liked it so much that I bought a case of 12 with 3 extra sticks thrown in for free. I Buy Derby and Arko from The Shave Factory on Amazon and Ebay.

I bought a bunch of Old Spice, Palmolive Lemon, and Godrej Menthol Mist and Rich Foam from Manish over at Maharaja shave dot com. Great guy and great proucts.

You should try them if you haven't already.
I also bought some Godrej Shave Rounds (soap) and a bar of Cinthol Lime bath soap from him in the same order as the creams.
I like and recommend them as well. The shave rounds are very good shave soap. Seems to use more water than other soaps I've used. Good, because it seems to last longer. YMMV, but I like it a lot.
The Cinthol Lime bath soap was very good, too.
I need to place another order with him. I'm going to get more Cinthol Lime, Godrej Shave Rounds, Godrej Lime shave cream, Old Spice Lime shave cream, and Old Spice after shave.
The Indian made Old Spice AS and shave cream smell like the original Shulton formula, not like the horrid Proctology-er, Proctor and Gamble OS.

I want to try some Arko shave cream. I'll get some with my next order of Derby blades.

yeah, from what I hear, it has a strong lemon scent, but people whine about the scent of VDH and tabac, BOTH of which I like. The only scent I can't stand is the veg....so I think I'm sure I'll like it.

OH, AND I also wanted to ask......I thought Arko was Turkish? I see Arko Tubes of Cream with Russian writing on it. 2 brands same name? Same brand 2 markets?
