Nice! I used to wear watches when I was like 8, but for some reason I quit wearing them. Then one day a year or so ago I suddenly got an urge to buy a watch, so I got a nice ESQ stainless watch and recently bought a Casio G-Shock in black for more casual wearing. Like my Visa, I don't leave home without it!

Considering the average going rate for a FB, you did okay on that purchase price. I have bought and sold a couple FB at that price. Factor in the cost of a new razor, adjustable or not and that price is okay!

Today I received a couple of knots from Tony at TGN. A synthetic and a chubby overstuffed silver tip. I am finally going to take a stab at teh re-knotting.

Also, Williams Warrior / Keith and I went halvsies on an order from Appleton barber Supply. A tube of the Master Well Comb Soap (4 pucks each) and he got a 6oz Master Lilac and I grabbed a 6oz Master Focus. The Lilac smells like lilac and so does the soap, I did not care for the lilac when I bought a giant bottle of it last year (now in the hands of Battle.Munky / Bob,) but it smells better to me this time around. The focus smells like Brut, or possibly Avon Tai Winds, both nice scents to me.

I think all the women on the forum will appreciate this one, as well as all our (us men) wives...I know mine sure does.

My wife is getting big into quilting, and the quilts she makes are getting more complex. Her old sewing machine isn't modern enough for the stitches sheneeds and it was becoming a hassle to borrow my mom's. So I put this on hold while at work and rushed like mad to get home and get the car to pick it up.

Say hello to our (...well my wife's) new Janome 3160 QDC (quilting sewing machine). She is on it right now and keeps telling me she loves it:love055. I figured it counted given I bought it, although it is for her!:D

I can't even sew a straight line, but I can appreciate you doing something very sweet for your wife. :happy088

Well one night last week my RAD kicked in when my rib pain was keeping me awake. I went out on eBay just to "look" around. Well one thing led to another and I started bidding. Not really sure why because I am not really in a position to spend a lot of money right now but I did it anyway.

First one I bid on was the SS in the blue box. It had about 14 hours left and no one was bidding on it and I felt sorry for it. The opening bid was $12.00 so I put that up and just figured it would have somebody else bid on it last minute and I would just let it go. - Nope - no other bidders. I was totally shocked when I won it. I got it in the mail today and I just did some general cleaning on it and I think it could only have been used a few times. It is pretty nice and the box is in perfect shape except for a little bit of spider webbing on the clear plastic.

The other three razors in the picture were in a "lot" sale. The ebay picture was bad and they all had a fair amount of grime on them. But the super adjustable is what caught my eye. My wife has been wanting to try one of those for a while. It also had no bids on it and the starting bid was $9.00, so I put up a $10.00 max bid and I just figured that somebody would come along and out bid me before it closed 11 hours later. One person did try to put in a bid but it was still under my $10.00 and I won. They also came in the mail today and I used some foamy KaBoom on them and they cleaned up great! My wife will try out the Super in the morining but so far she loves it. The GEM is pretty nice as well. I will just put the CURVFIT on my display razor shelf since it is not really a usable razor anyway.

BTW - even though SWMBO likes her new razor I still got it a bit of trouble and I am not allowed to go on eBay and "look" around for a while. :happy102[IMG]

Tell her the pain meds are to blame. :D

Discovered a bunch of baby fishies in the tank this evening! :love029
They're about the size of a grain of rice. A fat grain of rice. I couldn't tell how many there are total. Just a bunch. Not likely they'll all survive.

Good move! My wife is a sewer/quilter as well (although with work and school she has no time for either at the moment).

    Very nice from you, Luke.
My wife has a Janome Memory Craft 6600 Plus and a Janome Cover Pro 1000 and loves both. She is impressed with the quality of the machines.

Picked this one off ebay, mostly for the chrome New, but it is much cooler than I anticipated. I love the comb with the silver spine. :) Click images for larger versions. For some reason some of the pictures make the razor look like the copper is showing. It isn't. :)

I know I have seen these sets before, but I don't remember seeing one with the Chrome New before. I thought they were typically Tech sets.
This will probably be my last razor haul for a while. Payments in my near future it seems.

My brother used to have big fish tanks (one salt water and a fresh/brackish water). I loved it when the baby fish were born! They were all over the place. Too bad so many don't survive though...

My wife really enjoys how the machine makes her sewing much more "hands off", by having the built in thread cuters, needle threader, footless sewing, etc. Although, I have a funny feeling that in not too long shell be asking for a Memory Craft....

Thomas Fink's "The Man's Book" is also a good read. My family brought it back to me one time from a vacation. It has a decent section on wet shaving, like the quality of badger hair, different razors, different beard designs, I was suprised! I hope your "Art of Manliness" is also a good read.

Watches are great! Another worthy collection to invest in. When I'm making my millions...:happy102...I hope to get a (genuine) Patek Philippe.

    Two packages one day.

Wyatt gave me a Gillette Red Tip, some Nivea cooling splash (will be the first aftershave splash i have used that is alcohol) And a handful of blades.

Thank you very much and I got a bunch of creams and some aftershave balms from ASD. I just need to figure out what is what. :D So if anybody knows what is what I would love to hear.

Thank you very much to both of you. I now have no idea what to shave with today. Very generous packages from both of you. ;)

And i frgot to take a picture of another cream from ASD. It is Nord Ost cream. Once again... no idea what it is but the scent is very... fresh? That is how i would describe it, just took a whiff.

Since I went on a soaping spree last week I figured I needed the AS to match as well. A few I wanted to try.

I 'gotta stop reading reviews of this stuff. It's like reading a recipe or watching the foodnetwork. Just have to try it, it sounds so good.

    It's been a good week.

Finally got my black Old Spice mug. Blue would have been okay, instead. Bigger than my white ones, one of which is shown for comparison. Also picked up a Burma Shave mug.

Got my 6 pucks of the new Van der Hagen Luxury soap in today - 3 scented and 3 unscented - and my new Van der Hagen Luxury badger brush in today. I do like the original Van der Hagen Glycerin soap so I'm hoping for good things from this test.
