    Brush: Shavemac 2007 LE
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Portman Square Notting Hill Hard Soap

Ooh la la ...the Wilkinson Sticky and Gillette Swede make a great team! I received an excellent shave aided in part by the Portman Square hard soap which is still a work in progress. Three passes and I am left with a smooth and happy face. A Splash of Harris Arlington and I am ready for the day.

Not bad. As I mentioned Monday, the blade was a freebie sample tossed in an order I had placed a while back. Not a bad blade, but not worth buying more, in my opinion.

You have progressed so much, whipping up your own soap and stuff, enjoying a shave for the experience, the indulgence, the luxury... very nice!

    Razor: Gillette Rocket HD
    Blade: Perma-sharp
    Brush: shavemac silvertip
Lather: RazWar Classical shaving soap + RazWar All Natural Shaving cream
    AS: Old Spice Whitewater
    EdT: Polo Blue
Summary: A simple Saturday, because DE shave is so easy and it's a great choice for a comfortable and simple shave. I loose my ritual of stropping, and the feeling of straight but some variations are good, this way my blades don't become rusty...lol...The RazWar cream and soap works very well, well done for a brand that's known by its cartridge razors. The aftershave is the fresh final for this close and smooth shave. I have neglected Polo Blue but seldom I like to wear its marine fragrance.

  18. This photo was taken ahead of time. I wasn't sure if the Rolls was going to work out, so I was ready to switch to the Schick type O if needed.
Unfortunately, it was needed. I'd spent a lot of time on this blade, periodically honing and stropping over a period of weeks. After the WTG pass, though, it was obvious that the blade wasn't ready. There was a lot of tugging, as it clearly just wasn't sharp enough. On the bright side, no cuts at all, and when I finished off with the type O, no irritation.

This isn't the end of it. I've got another Rolls, which I've also spent a lot of time on, to try tomorrow. If that doesn't work out, more prep work, I guess.

Rolls Razor, switching to Schick type O with twin blade.

    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
Alt Innsbruck AS :love008 :love008 :anifrozen :anifrozen
    Aramis EDT

Well, until I get my new Rapiras, I'll have to tough it out with whatever other blade brands I have. (I'm just joking--the Derbys are also very good) The Ingram from Egypt and the Alt Innsbruck are a wonderful menthol combination. ;) :D
