Sent my only child/daughter off to the culinary program at a local Technical College this year. She would be a junior this year if she were in the traditional four-year (now five or six-year?? ) program, but she decided to change majors from horticulture to culinary arts, so instead of university transfer she has another 18 months now until she gets an Associate's degree in culinary arts/hospitality management, then I guess off to one of the major culinary schools for a Bachelor's at some point. Who knows?? Look for Chef Danielle on Food Network some day.
