I love this stuff so much, and the Anherb conditioner adds to that wonderful freeze.

I put this in the wrong day! Ignore last weeks.... Schick Quattro multiblade thingy home iced TSD Monkey Farts SS and TRSC Moisturizing SC uber-lather The Dridecker home iced and home blended Remnant AS My son just started shaving a few months ago. SWMBO thought it would be better for him to start with a cart than a DE so she picked him up a Quattro. Since the Quattro didn't really do anything to his super-fine whiskers, I sorta transitioned him over to DEs D) and the rest is history. So, that is the backstory for why I have the Quattro. Saw it this morning and thought, "Why the hell not? It's been a full year since I used a cartridge, let's see what I've been missing." While the shave was damn fine, it was ABSOLUTELY NOT BBS after 5 passes plus touch up. Not sure if I could get it if I put more effort into it. It was a comfortable enough shave but the slimy gloop that seemed to gush out of the "lube strip" was nearly overwhelming. Took forever to rinse off. All in all, it was a DFS that wasn't uncomfortable. Knowing what I know now, there is no going back to carts for me. I don't even think that I will attempt it again. The shave was good enough but there was nothing special about it at all. I have grown accustomed to the special feeling I get with every traditional shave I have, EVERY one, and this was truly not worth the time and effort, forget the expense even. So, I will spend the extra 3 or 5 minutes and get the shave I want, consistently and predictably, and feel like each one is special. I am Bob, and I'm a traditional shaver. You all have a great Memorial Day!

Simply outstanding.
How about on the road? Do you travel with a DE? When I drive or take a train, I still take my DE, but when flying I go with my mach 3. Not my favorite, but I have it here and it beats losing a razor to the TSA.
I'm one of the few people who doesn't mind checking a bag, so I always take a DE. I have traveled with just a carry-on a few times and still took one, just got blades at the destination. Actually, that was the last time I used a cart before this morning; couldn't get to a store so I just got one of the disposables from the hotel front desk. Two weeks ago I had to go to Huntsville and took my ball-end tech (I checked my bag) since I do prefer to be able to break the razor down into the smallest footprint I can for traveling. Was gonna take my HD but had too much crap that trip so I didn't want to take a chance on breaking the head off the razor. I need a rigid box for a travel shave kit I reckon.
Monday: Yuma 3 piece Rapira Day 2 TSD iced subzero Omega Lucretia Borgia post: alum, witch hazel, osage rub, TSD ISZ AS
I'm with you Bob...I ALWAYS take one of my favorite type razors, because when I travel I especially appreciate a great shave...for the refreshing relaxing feeling...traveling can be so stressful and tiring. And I also take my Arko stick and Omega Baby-Pro boar... I found a small metal box that fits my Super Speed perfect...And my Ming-Shi travel box fits my Slim Adjustable perfect...I now need a box for my Schick...
I always take a TSD soap. They are great and the container won't crush. A little big, but I sacrifice space for it.
I smashed a Shave stick flat...same thickness as an empty anti-perspirant stick container...Then took the paper off and pressed it on the base-plate from the anti-perspirant container...Then put the Shave-Stick and base-plate back in the anti-perspirant container and turn the knob at bottom backwards til the stick is all the way in the dispenser....Top snaps on perfect...I take the anti-perspirant wrapper off the dispenser...Travels perfectly...and hands don't get wet using it...Whole process takes 4 to 5 minutes max..
