Got pops a vintage Gillette, new brush, mug, and soaps... Only to find out he is addicted to his fast, easy shave with an electric. Guess I got more shave gear and he's getting a gift card to Olive Garden.
I have already given my father a ton of DE stuff and he is scared to use the razors. He won't even try.
I started him out with some of mine, and he said he liked it, so I bought the fathers day gifts, and the next time I visited it had all been put up. When I asked he said he had tried because I liked it, but he didn't see any difference in the shave. We talked on it, and he hadn't been building a good lather, tried ATG on his 2and pass and gave himself razor burn. I had reminded him about all of this and even shown him how easy it was to lather. I figured he would have remembered most of it from his younger days. Quick and easy he said was the way he liked his shave. Said Gillette would never have moved away from the DE to all the multi blade stuff if this was any good. So... Gift cards from now on....
If I am lucky, this will arrive for me tomorrow. But I may have to wait until Monday. Still, it's my Father's Day gift to myself since I don't have time to golf! Too busy admiring my razors!
We're ordered Dad a 16GB iPad 2 with wifi and a leather smart cover. I'm total against it but my siblings insisted. Since i'm living with Dad for the summer, i'm getting him a french press as a personal gift from myself aside from my pitch for the iPad... you know... so he and I can both enjoy some coffee
Very smart man. You'll really enjoy the french press, I was glad we followed the advice we got here and bought one. It does make a world of difference. Enjoy.
My 6-year-old brought me something in a package to open for him the other day. I had a little trouble with it, and he said, "You need to use the new knife we got you for Father's Day!" Only my wife hadn't given it to me yet ... :laugh042 So looks like that's what I'll be getting.
