I know absolutely nothing about straight razors so here I am... I was given a Cutlery World brand straight yesterday. It looks like plastic or bakelite mother of pearl scales. On one side of the blade is a gold and black etching that says FIRST CLASS ORIGINAL SOLINGEN and 7802. On the other side it says SOLINGEN MADE IN GERMANY. Doesn't appear to be any damage to it but does appear to have some plate loss or oxidation spots. All I could find was this one here on TSD that sold for $45 back in 2009. Mine looks the same except different scales and a different forum thread that said these were made in the 1970s. As I don't use straights and have no desire to, is this a PIFer or a Seller? Found this thread/post over at SRP. Apparently, it is a pretty good razor. Still unclear whether it'll make you rich or not though
German steel. Looks like it should clean up nicely. Not sure on a value at all, but I bet it would be a decent shaver.
When I look at it, I think Dovo. I have never shaved with a Dovo, but at some point I will prolly buy one.

Yeah that's the thread I was referring to where I found out they were made in the 1970s. Not trying to get rich but wouldn't mind having the cash to buy a new Simpsons Duke brush since I just gave my used-5-times Simpsons Duke away to someone I felt so sorry for who has a tiny face and was using a huge floppy brush. Only used it 5 times and I miss it! So yeah, not rich, just ample for a new brush. :happy102
