July 7 Lord Tech with Astra SP (D2) JM Fraser polar ice Omega travel boar Proraso ASB DFS, very good shave, don't really know why they call this polar ice cream, doesn't seem to be mentholated to me, but it did a great job. Sunday's Shave Last day of SuperSpeed week! It's been a fun journey, got to try 2 new razors that I had not previously. Thanks, Lloyd for this great idea! :happy096 Now on to today's shave, thought I would wrap up the week with one of my favorite razors. First go with the Palmolive soap, and it lived up to all I had heard. 1956 Gillette Diplomat Fred's Personna Semogue 830 Palmolive stick WH Vintage Aqua Velva AS Very nice DFS on this beautiful Sunday morning.
Sunday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Rapira day 4 Proraso Green SC* (this is the new formulation?) ::kngt Keri unscented moisturizer Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue AS :love008 :love008 :freezing :freezing JHL Cologne *I tried the Proraso Green cream because of the freebie from my barber that I received yesterday, and to be honest and unbiased, I don't see where this stuff is any different from the original formulation. It still has the same lousy scent (at least to me) that I despise, and it seemed to be a little irritating on my 2nd and 3rd pass although the cold water rinse and the Aqua Velva got rid of that problem right away. By the way, this Keri lotion moisturizes very, very well--I like it. I'd call this shave a success, although I didn't enjoy it to the maximum.
"SUPER SPEED LOVE WEEK"...Day 7-Final Day Sunday's Shave The Black Tip Beauty: 1952 40's Style SS with Steel Handle. Rapira (Day4) Omega 10029 Arko Uberlather:Shave Stick/Adventure SC Arko Nem moisturizer/Arko Aqua AS/Rebul Lavanda Cologne Wow,It's a little sad to see this week coming to a close. The Black Tip Beauty came through with flying colors. The first day my shave was as if Heaven sent and each day after has been better than the previous... Today is Day 4 on this Rapira, and I've been following Steve's Stropping and Flip routine...I believe it does help guarentee perfection...:happy108 In the Pic...the deoderant stick is really my Arko Stick in new clothing...and the Picture on the cup is of my Pop...He was a sharp looking Gent, and he kept himself looking sharp by shaving with a Schick Injector everyday, with soap and brush.... Thanks everybody for making this week for the glorious Super Speed turn out to be such a blast....The Pictures, the Shave Reviews, and Various SS's that were pulled out of mothballs were like a July 4th parade that went on all week...Everyone Was Great...You All Are the BEST...

Muhle R41 Toothcomb Voskhod (1) Simpson Chubby 2 Best Bigelow SC Alum Boosted Superior 70 Bay Rum Had my first non feather shave today with the new Muhle. I noticed the drop off in sharpness, but still ended with a nice clean comfortable result. I think a few days with this blade and I will grow accustomed to it in the razor. Shaves 2-4 are normally the best with this blade in my Old Type. Overall I am happy with this razor. The only thing I don't like is that I want to use my OCMM and I keep reaching for the Muhle instead.

Sorry Lloyd, I could not hold on. After making major mistakes with the blade change & my technique, (guess I'm spoiled & use to the injector technique), to avoid any further damage to my face,:angry019 I switched back to the trusty Injector. I also LOVE the smell of the Proraso Soap sensitive skin formula and had a great shave today with BBS results with 2 passes. I guess in the end ,that's all that matters.:whacky098 Whatver way we go about acheiving that goal!:whacky098
Thanks for the theme weeks Lloyd, great ideas both of them. It was a nice thing participating and seeing the other folks playing along as well.:happy093 You rock sir (or whatever it is you jazzy folk do) .
