    Movie:
    The Guardian
starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher.
Decent storyline, some good action. Drama and mild comedy.
Reminded me A LOT of Officer and A Gentleman, but I think the makers were trying to draw the Kutcher Krowd thinkin the youngun's aint never seen OAAG.
    C+ rating

OK kids. I have seen it.

    1. Pretty good for a "new generation" Horror movie
    2. Right up their with the rest of Rob Zombie flicks
    3. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO AS GOOD AS THE ORIG.

If you would like to know more PM me (don't want to ruin it). ;)

It was also nice to see AKKAD in the credits.

    Happily Never After - eh
The Pursuit of Happiness - Like it a lot
The Last Mimzy - Could have been better. Too contrived.

I just finished Terry Goodkind's "Pillars of Creation" and will be starting on J.K. Rowlings' "Harry Potter and the Dealthy Hallows." I had this book for a while but my daughter confiscated it and read it first. She sworn to secrecy to not tell me about it before I read it. There will be a trip to Barnes & Noble this weekend. She is out of books.

I'll be doing some late night weekend movie watching soon. I have some war dvds I want to watch that I have been putting off. My family is not interested in them so I need to watch alone.

    Finish watching "The Train"

Watch "The Sand Pebbles", "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and "Midway." Not all at once.

    PalmettoB The Old Guard

Started going back through Robert Parker's "Spenser" novels. So far I have read Ceremony. I have a few others sitting here ready to read. Parker is really pretty funny.

    Disturbia

NOt a heavy plot (which is sometimes a good thing), little bit of horror, humor. Not an A+/A but a decent flick.

    them's is fightin' words.

give me a western flick any day, pardner! Unforgiven? The Good, the Bad, the Ugly? The Magnificent Seven? Open Range? Heck, Blazing Saddles? The Ox-Bow Incident? True Grit? How the west was won? Once upon a time in the west? :D:D:D my favorite genre of films, hands down.

What do you think of the series? I really liked the first three or four books. I read them all within a short span, the other half have been slow going. I like Goodkind's "politics" if you will, but he got a little heavy handed, and the books start off the first 100-300 pages reviewing each character and "the story so far" a bit redundantly, IMHO. Still, they got me to buy the whole series. The first book is absolute gold, as far as I am concerned. I have no experience with the genre outside of these books.

I just watched many episodes of "Supernatural" the series. I like this show, the guys sort of remind me of my brother and I, in terms of rivalry and jokes. It's a pretty good show. The last book I read for pleasure was "All creatures great and small" (seriously). Actually, there are some very nice and touching short stories in there. I enjoyed myself, and I thought I wouldn't. Nice for a quick "just before bed" 10 minute read (a collection of short stories)
