It was such an awesome episode!

I don't get everyone's hesitation to start watching DW. You don't have to start at THE beginning. Start at the new stuff.

I should be at my typewriter.

    Why am I online?

My sentiments, exactly. They did a great job of reintroducing the character to audiences with Eccleston, and if you don't know the back catalog, you can still enjoy it.

If you watch a little of the new stuff and still feel lost, just go back and watch one or two of the old series (I recommend Tom Baker years) and you should be able to get a quick grasp of what it's all about pretty quickly.

I just wish they'd put the movie on streaming.

Well, I managed to knock out 2 pages of outline and a page of story on my portable, tonight. Not too bad, I guess. At least it's a start. 259 words not counting the outline.

This may be not be a good question to the fans of DW, but how do you feel about TorchWood? Is it a terrible spinoff? Like Scooby Doo after they introduced Scrappy Doo? Or is it worth a watch? I have never seen DW, so please forgive if this is a dumb question.

I found all the TorchWood episodes for streaming online and was thinking about watching them when I have some time.

Never watched it, Dale, but the characters have been in a couple DW episodes, and I'd be willing to check out Torchwood.

My girlfriend absolutely loves Torchwood. I've seen a couple episodes with her, and it's not bad. Nowhere near the awesomeness of DW, though.

DW will allways stand for DarkWing Duck... When theres trouble you call DW!

    Let's get dangerous!

I think I'll call the Doctor instead. I don't recall DarkWing being quite the superduck he thought he was. :D

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will have to take a look and see what I think.

Ya know with all of the Dr. Who talk around here, you would have thought that I would have realized DW meant that. I went a totally different direction to deadwood. Maybe it was the wood part.

    Eh...

Hi. My name is Mike and I'm a fan of the Doctor. And I don't like Torchwood.

I'm not going into my reasons why, other than to say I don't like most of the Russel T. Davies produced material and I strongly dislike the character of Captain Jack Harkness.

I'm kind of feeling you on the Captain Jack business. It seemed they tried just a leeetle too hard with him. But then, I've not worked up the nerve to try any Torchwood yet. I've actually found it's inclusion in so much of DW to be a little offputting, really. It's like, "I get the point, there's a spin-off that's loosely connected to this universe--enough already!"

Another day on the verge of an end. Finally! It's been a long, hot summer here with just a little over 1" of rain since last Oct. and no relief in sight. I"m ready for fall.

A couple years ago, we had a summer where it rained constantly for over a month without a break (if my memory serves me correctly). Not sure which I'd prefer, but I do know fall is a welcome relief! We've had a warm summer here this year, but for the most part, it's been bearable and we get rain about once a week that cuts the temps from the high 80s-high 90s to the low 80s. I can't wait for winter!
