Different time week......set it up to where you shave exactly 12 hrs off from where you normally do (or whatever is practical) so if you normally shave in the morning, do so before bed and vice versa. It would almost be a pain, but you may learn something in the process getting out of your comfort zone.... there have been MUCH better ideas submitted thus far.
Just a bump in case anybody has any other suggestions. I've been thinking about how to incorporate as many of those themes as possible, and I think I've come up with something. I'll be working on it over the weekend.
How about a splurge week, using items you spent a little extra on. After all, now that I don't really "need" anything I need an excuse to do more shave shopping.
I'm kinda stuck on SE day every day! But I could sacrifice a week out of each month to participate where I can. I'm with Dale too, we should just have a MicroMatic Month! Rotate between your Flying Wing, Clog Pruf, & Open Comb. Oh what a month that would be.
This is what I have to last us a full year. Two different themes every month, one to start the first full week of the month (razor inspired in most cases), and one to start the third full week of the month (something other than razor inspired in most cases). Of course, many items overlap and can be used in many different themes. Many of you will find you're using a particular theme all the time anyway. No problem. There are no set rules. You don't have to participate for the entire week. Heck, you don't have to participate at all. This is just for entertainment purposes only. Remember... It's your shave. Enjoy it your way. OCT 3- Open Comb Week - show some OC love OCT 17- Give 'Em Some Love Week - blow the dust off and use those items that haven't been used in a while NOV 7 - TTO Week - gotta love those butterfly razors NOV 21 - Cream Week (to enable encourage soap users to branch out) DEC 5 - Grab the Gold Week – use a gold razor all week DEC 19 - Cheap Week – remember, shaving this way was supposed to save you money 2012 IS UPON US! JAN 2 - Holiday Haul Week – show off your holiday goodies JAN 16 - Face Lathering Week – you bowl latherers don’t know what you’re missing! FEB 6 - 3-Piece Week - heck, even four piece razors if you got 'em. FEB 20 - MWF Week – for the cold, dry days of winter, MWF will keep you from getting chapped! MAR 5 – Tech Week - how many razors fall into the Tech family? Show us yours! MAR 19 - Soap Week (to enable encourage cream users to branch out) APR 2 –SE Week – don’t forget those injectors and str8s APR 16 – DIY Week – something you’ve made, modified, fixed, mixed, or restored MAY 7 – Vintage Week – razor, blade, brush, soap, cream – as long as it’s a discontinued item MAY 21 – Bowl Lathering Week – you face latherers don’t know what you’re missing! JUN 4 - Injector Week - in honor of Lloyd JUN 18 – Artisan Week – be it a custom razor, brush or other hand crafted item (think TSD), put ‘em to use JUL 2 – Modern Week - can't let all the vintage razors have the fun.
