Just found out my GF is going antiquing now with her grandparents :). I hope they find me some nice razors... Hope they find at least a couple.

Snapping a keyboard in two over your knee is a sign that it's time to step away, right?

Last night, I kind of did that during an evening work session. I finally calmed myself down, and got back to work.

Did you know you could bruise your fingertips? I slammed my fingers on those keys so hard I'm looking at dark purple spots on my hands today.

    I need either a)Some rest b)Some counseling c)better drugs d)???? e)All of the above

I didn't know about brusing your fingertips... Thanks for sharing. Hope its not that bad i have luckly not had a stressful job or when it is... I am the type of person who is very much relaxed and laid back. :) which I must say helps with accounting.
I would go with C. There are drugs for nearly everything now :)

I think today will be good because I will be thinking about the antiquing like all day :)

    Didn't know that.
I had a friend in middle school, who ended up with a bruise on the tip of her nose. Her dad was roughhousing with her, and I don't know/remember the full details, but yep, a little purple dot at the tip of her nose for a week or so.

I want to say I've bruised my fingertips before. I don't remember when or how but I can recall how my fingers felt. Sucks.

My take is that rest would be a good start. The other two would also help, although I'd add f) prayer.

I pray that today is a better day for you.

Thanks! I can't believe that I didn't add that in myself. It should have been a)

hoping the wife doesn't get it, I don't need it, means I'm going to have to go back into work Sunday, since there's some things I needed to do today that are crucial before monday....yay

    yucko..

Sorry to hear about viruses, stress, and bruised finger tips.

Watched highlander for the first time in decades (the 2nd movie killed the series for me). I don't think I realized back then how cheezy it was.

    Get well soon!
Have you ever seen the "Renegade Version" of Highlander 2? It does a half decent job of fixing the movie. They re-cut it so that it makes more sense and sticks to canon a little better. It's not perfect, but it does go a long way to making things better.

And now, my day's update. Last nite at around 11:00, as I was at work installing that blasted Office 2011 on all the student computers before Monday (when students come back) I encountered a snag. Microsoft told me I had run out of licenses. When I ordered this, it was supposed to be enough licenses to do every computer in the school. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm quite aggravated. So, I won't reach my deadline, and I'll probably look a fool to my peers. Oh well. I was pissed about that when I got home and the wife had decided to do some cleaning out and rearranging while I was working late. For those that don't know me, cleaning out and rearranging really push my buttons--I think I might be a borderline hoarder (like on those tv shows), and it was just the thing to make me snap. Big fights are never fun.

She's right though, I do have anger management issues, and I think I am depressed.

    I need prayers.

Absolutely. Never had hoarding issues, but have had anger issues. It's been a strange journey, as I've really become very laid back. I don't have a moderate level on my temper, though thankfully it's been years since I've lost it.

Prayer sent. Office 2011 installs are enough agony.

    done.

also had anger issues. my kids and my vocation have forced me to learn how to deal. I haven't become laid back, but I have learned how to compromise. I've also learned the handy phrase, "let me think about that" when what I want to say is "not in a million years." Oh, and kids have taught me that yelling doesn't work. I drop my voice instead of raising it, now. Doesn't really help the kids listen, but it does help me control myself.

Picked up some new inline skates for the wife and I today as part of our efforts to stay active. Took them out for a spin and everything was going well until the wife slipped and landed on her already previously injured tailbone. A trip to urgent care showed nothing was broken or dislocated, just severely bruised. So, now the painful recovery process begins. To add insult to injury (literaly and figuratively), tomorrow (today in a few minutes) is her birthday. I feel terrible for her, ruined plans and she's obviously in serious pain.
