That is great. My gf has to wait a couple more weeks I think until they take the stiches out and she gets her results. fingers crossed

 

I guess I should post about one of the few bright spots of the week....

First, the presence of Dom is requested, someone please page Dom....

Last night I'm sitting in church, and my phone buzzes....whew, thank goodness I remembered to silence it.
Micah's done sent me a picture....he's off to the Big Town for shopping and sees something he's just got the let me know about.
Fast forward an hour or so, after church I'm going to Wal-Mart for a couple of things, and have the temptation to go to the back corner...then I recall that last year, a similar scenario unfolded, where this particular store in this particular town starting getting this particular product weeks before anyone else it seemed, but eventually, my curiosity got the best of me, and I had to go and look....

and was pleasantly rewarded!

 

What? No mention of the Superliminal Purple Drink?

 

but I didn't see it at Mal-Wart...

OK, that's really....odd/weird/frustrating/WTH....several places online are saying that Wal-Mart is selling the 16GB Asus Transformer for $349, but when you click the link, it's at it's normal $399.
???
Further, all these postings are dated today, so it's not like it's an old deal/sale.

Seriously, search Google for "$349 asus transformer"...

EDIT: Egad, so the dates are actually the 24th, while apparently I'm currently on the 25th and hadn't realized it...so I guess maybe it was a one day thing....crapdangit

 

We're definitely cottaging - it's about 45 mins. north of Peterborough at the northern tip of Buckhorn Lake. I'll have a couple days to get the books of my brain before hitting them hard. Putting off a paper I should've written in June was a bad, bad, bad idea.

PS that isnt even close to northern Ontario . The big city of Peterborough My gfs grandmother has a cottage in Bobcaygeon which is a bit north of peterborough as well.
