Sunday - it's the weekend! Time for the SEs!! I know, I know - I'm a day late. We hit the road for the return trip from Maine yesterday morning at 1:00 am; 12 hour drive. Didn't shave yesterday. Prep: 30 minute marinade with TSD ISZ PSB, hot shower Coffee: BJ's Kenya AA, BLACK Cream: TOBS Avocado (thanks, Jeff!) Brush: C&E Pure Badger Razor: Schick Injector E Model Blade: ???, day 4, 3+ passes Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, L'Oreal Comfort Max ASB, Pinaud Clubman 'Stache Wax: Steve's Own Shave Rating: 5 Blades, and then some Perhaps one of the best shaves I've had in a long time. It was my first time using a TOBS cream - FANTASTIC! Lathered up great, nice and slick. A little goes a long way. Maybe it was the power of suggestion (Jeff told me it smells like pumpkin guts to him), but it did smell ever so slightly like pumpkin guts to me. I like it! Reminded me of carving pumpkins with the kids when they were little. This would be a great fall scent for those who like to sort their soaps for "seasonal" use.
Sunday morning, Gillette NEW Short Comb, Israeli Personna Crystal Blade, Rooney 1/1 Best Badger Brush, Arko shave soap w/ hot water lather, finish w/ cold water rinse. DFS!
Sunday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Voskhod day 4 Vintage Barnangens Parba Shaving Stick Keri unscented moisturizer Booster Iced Lime AS This was a terrific shave - the Barnangens Parba stick is from Sweden, and it dates all the way back to the 1930's or 40's. It is no longer in production, and it's unfortunate because it is a fantastic soap. The lather it gives is so rich and easy to create, and it has a very nice "old-school" scent. The Booster Iced Lime aftershave is one of my top favorites, although the wife doesn't really like it.
Menthol Sunday! Hot Shower Green Marvy Mug Penworks 26mm Silver Tip Tet-a-Tet SC Lord L6 Super Max Super Platinum (4) Cool Water Rinse Tet-a-Tet ASB This blade has come to it's end. Perfect shave today, but if I give it another go I'll have some irritation. When I have a Menthol Shave Day, this song is always going through my head. Enjoy! And make it a great one today!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAZgLcK5LzI

Sunday Rolls Razor Culmak Soap Omega Boar Brush Alum Jovan Musk AS DFS Today has been great, 52 mile ride on my bicycle which clipped the corner of 4 counties and I'm just about to put the beef in the oven for a classic British roast. Happy Days!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday and with no "weather problems"; just finished my gardening choirs....for today. Endymion Shave Cream...good enough for a King! Kent three band H8 badger...don't know why more people do not have this brush? Futur..Gold and I really like it. Super Iridiums....enough said. Floris Special No 127.......made for a Russian Czar in past centuries. And, I have been using my metal Merkur shaving cup from the Futur brushed silver set. It has a rough anodized finished that seems to pop the shaving soap into a great lather
Sunday Gem OCMM Gem Stainless PTFE Semogue 1470 TOBS Avocado Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum My lather was a bit off today and my shave suffered. A few weepers and a bit of irritation changed a spectacular shave into a marginal outing. There's always tomorrow...
SUNDAY GEM Lather Catcher Mam Bears Woodland Pearl Penworks 24mm GEM PTFE DR Harris Marlborough This was one classy shave!
Sunday's Shower and Shave; Prep, Johnson Baby Oil Razor. Black Handle SS Blade, Rapira Platinum Lux Brush, Omega 48 Soap, Arko Post Shavc, Tet After Shace, Avon Wild River A DFS this morning, I expect nothing less when I shave the tradtional way.
Sunday 28 August 2011 Preparation: Hot Shower Cream: Dalan d'men Cream (Thanks Jody) Razor: Gillette Slim Blade: Treet Classic (Carbon Steel) A/S: Mix of English Leather Lime and Masters Bay Rum 2 Pass BBS excellent shave.
Sunday SOTD EJ 89l Voshkod (1) 24 mm super badger reknot home boosted TSD Mokey Farts SS home boosted AV Musk Really nice shave today folks. A bit off since I'm not in my den but the makeshift den I have deemed the hotel bathroom. The hotel is pretty friggin ritzy but the sink doesn't stop up completely.......by the time you get lather built, the sink has drained half of it's volume. I just kept it running a bit to keep enough depth to rinse the razor in. 3.5 out of 5 for today.
Sundqy 28 August Starbucks Italian Roast, Black Proraso preshave Gillette New w/ Lord Platinum (D2) Berkley 46, face lather Godrej-Menthol Mist AG-Anherb Conditioner A nice calm three pass shave. We had people over who evacuated from the shore, so I was last in the shower and took my time. A relaxing shave, DFS.
I absolutely hate when the hotel sink won't keep water in it. I used to carry a small stopper for that, but haven't done that in a long time. The only thing I like about hotel bathrooms is that they are about 10 times bigger than mine, and I don't have to rush since I am usually by myeself.
Yeah, I know what you mean. It is huge in there and this one is kinda cool because the bathroom opens up to the bedroom too. Kind of cool actually but it would be a whole lot better if my wife and kids were here. I remember when we'd go on vacation to the beach as a kid and we'd play all day down on the beach and poolside. I went and looked and without my family here it makes me want to just stay in the room. I'm a imprisoned in Ft. Lauderdale.......
