  1. no worries mate, too busy inventin' some rock and roll music in 4/4 time....
  2. My wife and I are part of a ministry team that goes to our local Rescue Mission. We are part of the team that prepares the meal, serves those in need. Another team provides a chruch service. Today we begin our sixth year. It is very rewarding that I can use my cooking talents to serve others.

  4. 2 mile walk this morning and when I got home I followed it up by making waffles. Nothing like being a contradiction.

  5. Awesome!

    Yeup.
In truth, I'm surprised GDCarrington got the reference...In truth, I'm surprised when anyone gets the reference, besides you and me

Indeed! It's like jogging to Sonic for a pumpkin shake...then taking a cab home
  6. You have to start somewhere and a 2 mile walk is a good place to start.

While the waffles may be counter productive, I am sure they tasted great.

At least you burned some calories before having some breakfast.
  7. Even better would be if you'd make pumpkin or sweet potato waffles, at they're a bit healthier
  8. Excellent. I through my church have been supporting a rescue mission run by another local church for about 4 years now. It is good to give hope and help to those who need it.
  9. TWGW snuck a surprise into the shopping cart last night-- Time magazine's special issue on Albert Einstein. Awesome stuff! It's got several pictures of him that I have never seen before, and it does a great job of putting some of his theories into layman's terms.
  10. Found a nice velvet today at good will.

  11. There are so many famlies in need. Today at the Rescue Mission we served 160 plates of Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Rolls, and two differnt cakes. There was a great deal of children today. I feel so blessed when I serve those in need.

  12. True...

I usually do a 1-2 mile walk each morning. However, family was all up and acting hungry when I got home. I don't know why none of them were capable of fixing their own breakfast before I got back. I think they were in a lazy mode. I figured the waffles were a better and cheaper alternative to get breakfast out of the way before someone decided that they wanted crepes or doughnuts. However, I still laughed at the contradiction and figured I would share.
  13. Glad to hear that there are people who are out there helping. Thank You!
  14. Just so everyone know, it's virtually impossible to stop on in-line skates when going downhill and the sidewalk is covered with dirt. I'll be avoiding a certain path whilst skating in the future. Thankfully, I have nothing more than a couple minor scrapes.
  15. owie! good to hear you're okay, though.
  16. what is that, young einstein? he was in two movies- young einstein was one, but what was the other?
  17. Looks like it was 3.

  18. I ended up with a small gash on my leg from my trimmer while doing yard work today. When my wife saw it, she said that the next time I want to shave my legs I should use one of my razors, after all, I have plenty of them.
  19. :happy102:

The ladies do seem to laugh first and see if you're OK later. At least in my case it's probably deserved.
  20. ain't that the truth...last year when I tore my bicep doing yardwork, I come in the house, in pain, holding my arm, etc., my wife just looked at me, after I laid on the floor, asked "are you gonna eat supper?"

to her credit, she at least said she felt bad about it later...
