This may have been visited before, but I just have to say that there are certain products available that I return to based on scent alone! Regardless of the presence or lack of any other properties!

    Some of these products include:

    Irish Spring Body Soap
    Yardley English Lavender
    TSD Monkey Farts
    Anything Speick
    Brut
    Skin Bracer Blue
    Avon Tai Winds
    Aqua Velva Musk
    Aramis
    Eternity
    Abercrombe & Fitch Feirce
    Murray & Lanaman Florida Water
Pe Re Ja Turkish Lemon Cologne
Murray & Lanaman Orange Blossom Cologne
    Hoyt's Cologne
    Dominica Bay Rum

For me, the scent of my shave stuff is at least 50% of my experience, regardless of how long or short lived the scent lasts.

What scents are your must have's?

My favorite is Superior 70 Bay Rum. It's a nice mild Bay scent that treats me well.

I have also recently become a big fan of Burberry London EDP. Not much of a cologne guy, but it is a nice scent.

My sense of smell isn't the greatest; I rely on the wife and 2 teenage daughters to point me in the right direction. I can judge how the scent works on me by the number of hugs I get when I come out of the bathroom. Daughter #1 is an Old Spice Freak, Daughter #2 loves Cliven Classic. SWMBO goes nuts for Kiehls #1 Original Musk. Everything else is kind of neutral. Works for me, gotta keep my ladies smiling.

Jeff, do NOT smell the Burt's Bees SS. Smells great, lathers worse than water.......

As far as my shave soaps go I don't particularly care if they have scent or not but as far as my edt's and colognes go, I fancy

    Burberry Brit and Burberry
    Azzarro pour homme
    Eternity
    Polo Original
    Grey Flannel
    Pinaud Clubman Original
    Pinaud Clubman Citrus Musk
    Master Lilac Vegetol
Irish Spring has always been my favorite scented shower soap
Ivory, I think it smells clean and sudtle but delivers big on performance for me.

I do like the T&H Tralfalgar scent as well as the Prorasso/C.O. Bigelow scent as well

Ogallala Bay Rum soap & a/s

One of my favorite colognes was Avon Jamoca, smelled a little like coffee, but they discontinued it.

I don't use anything I don't like the smell of. I have close to 40 different soaps and creams and half a dozen colognes.
Of the colognes, I don't use anything my wife doesn't like the smell of.
What are my "must have" scents? That would mean picking a favorite ;)

Favorite scents...thats a tough one, if only to narrow down this list.

I would currently say anything Bay Rum, very partial to the C.O. Bigelow ASB which has sadly been discontinued. Old Spice
Clubman (the wife is a big fan of their Special Reserve)
    Aqua Velva
    Speick
    Tabac
and while its not very strong I really love the scent of MWF.

My wife loves the scents of arount 75% of my edt's, but of many of my aftershaves, for example my Booster Iced Lime and Polar Ice, she hates them. She keeps on criticizing the scents - which means she tells me I smell like an old barber. I don't care, because if I like a scent of an aftershave or edt, I'll wear it no matter what.

Yesterday, I wore my Booster Mosswood aftershave, and my wife said to me I smellled like an old man, but she still gave me a big kiss! ;)

I make my own Bay Rum and if I didn't like it I'd change the formula so that I did. So Bay Rum.

That's really my only must have scent.

Scent really isn't a big thing for me. I don't like excessively strong smells, and I don't like them following me around all day after I'm done shaving. It's more about avoiding unpleasant smells than seeking out pleasant ones.

My favorite aroma has nothing to do with shaving, but quite a bit to do with starting the day out right: coffee.:eatdrink013:

Greg - Have you tried the TSD dupe of ADG? IMHO it's even better. Then again, I don't like ozone notes and the lack of one is the main difference.
