good to hear guys! enjoy the a/c!

And Monday continues. The republic of Texas denied my attempt at obtaining a driver's license. Didn't have registration forms for every vehicle we owned. And didn't have my birth certificate. This sucks.

Today is the first of the month, mother's hubbards cupboard needed to be re-stock. We both on SS disability, each month is long.
Spent a tiring day shopping. My arthritis let me know that it was objecting to the long day.
I am off to bed sleep will be fleeting tonight.

    Yup, still painful.

All kidding aside, we need some drought relief. I can't believe we haven't been declared a disaster area, yet.

On the other hand, maybe they'll use those millions to buy even better content.

Totally random, I know...but I had to share. My wife was just invited on a 10 day trip to Israel (all expenses paid) by her dad's new girlfriend :bounce015:. I want her to go...we just need to find a day-time babysitter. I just thought I would share. It would be her first time out of North America!

we just got into watching streaming dvds via netflix. If this causes the removal of Dora or Diego then my kids are going to riot.

In other news, I'm still a devoted fan of their dvd service. It saves me from spending a silly amount of money buying obscure horror and sci-fi.

Finally getting around to setting up this IPad. OK, so. It is faster and more responsive than an android tab. So what if I am actually using the keyboard and actually typing. Yup...OK....... That one actually impresses me. I laid it down flat and started typing.

Yeah, at the moment, Ipad is king of the tablet hill. Which makes sense, being as it basically created the market. Not saying it was the first, but until it had an Apple logo on it, the masses didn't think they had to have one.
I wonder what would happen if Apple put their logo on a guillotine, if the fanboys would jump right in line....naaaah, I know better than to wonder, they'd be fighting for first spot in line

yup.... I was thinking about today's BI when I made my post above. Had students come in before I got around to adding the link to this:

as much as I hate to admit it, I may actually find myself liking the iPad. On the other hand, my hand feels like it was cramping up typing on the smaller keyboard. Maybe they need to make it bigger and badder.

yeah, the main thing that holds me up on the ipad...well, two major things, one being I'd like the consistent flow of Android between phone and tablet, but since most apps are web based anything, like Evernote, Springpad, Dropbox, email, and such, it's not so big a deal.

The deal-breaker for me is itunes

I'm lazy and like iTunes ... I plug my iPhone into my MacBook pro and iTunes takes over, syncs my contacts, updates my apps as needed, and updates the music as I see fit... It's practically perfect... The only thing that would make it better is another colour scheme

On a completely unrelated note, the last 2.5 months at the gym have been paying dividends besides being constantly sore. I had to purchase a new belt this morning. The old ragged one I have had for the last few years will not adjust small enough. I could have punched a hole in it, but it was time for a new one regardless of my waist size.

If one chooses to live behind the Apple walled garden, itunes if fine, and is the best solution....ehhr, only solution
That's one thing I'll give Apple credit on, if you have more than one of their products, they just work together.
I do not credit that as best or superior, just that it's normal behavior between products made by the same company.
Still, I don't like being told what programs I can use, how I can use them, what color shirt I have to wear while using them, what brand of car I must drive to use them, what songs I can listen to depending on whether or not the current time is divisible by 3....(yes, I'm kidding )

yeup, I've never had an enjoyable experience with itunes. Fortunately, I avoid products that require it.
though I understand for those that need it, and use it, and it works for them, I can understand them liking it.

    awesome!
