Williams Tonsilar Vintage Soap Shea Moisture Brush-"The Dridecker" Merkur 38c Polsilver Blade TSD Cedarwood/Lemon 2x Iced Splash -I tried vintage Williams for the first time, it really does blow away the modern stuff. The scent about the same as the modern stuff and not my favorite, but the easy to make and protective lather makes it worth using.
I have one Iriduim available to send to anyone who will compare the two and deliver a definitive answer! Plus, the vintage Williams flat out ROCKS!

Saturday 3 September Starbucks Italian Roast, Black Proraso pre-shave balm Gillette New w/ Astra SP (D4-and final) Berkley 46, face lather TSD-Blue Juniper Stick Alcolado Glacial This was a very good shave. I love the TSD soap, it leaves the face feeling good. The blue juniper smelled good. It was a DFS, under the jawline still had some spots or it might have been BBS. Wasn't able to post earlier due to my schedule. I hope everyone has a great Labor day weekend.

Sunday, September 4 59’ Fatboy (setting 7) Supermax SS (d3) Preshave Oil Blend Arko Boosted Classic Brand Menthol SS Vulfix 2235 Super Badger Barbasol Brisk Did not pursue absolute perfection today, but came darn close to it anyway. I have concluded that of over 20 blade brands I have dabbled in, there are 3 I can reliably use in any of my DE razors: Supermax SS, Voskhov, and Dorco 301. There are others that do as well or slightly better perhaps in one razor or another, but these 3 seem to offer the unique combination of sharpness, forgiveness, universality, and value. That is, of course, until I discover something better. Amazing how my top 3 blades today are completely different from my top 3 a year ago.

Sunday, September 04, 2011 Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: Merkur Futur Blade: Derby Extra Brush: Simpson Emperor 2 Soap or Cream: D.R. Harris Marlborough Soap A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, Alt Innsbruck Splash A very nice shave this overcast morning. The Derby blade, while not my favorite, outdid itself under the guidance of the Futur. The Harris soap is a favorite, and always performs well for me. And the Alt Innsbruck, also a favorite, provided a fine, refreshing finish.
